    We're #hiring for a medical director for the substance use treatment services program at Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department! This is a part-time, benefits-eligible position. This role includes supervision of nurse practitioners who provide direct clinical services, process improvement and quality improvement for the clinic, and the administrative responsibilities required for the provision of methadone. Would you like to work at a clinic integrated into a local health department, with the opportunity to care for individual patients and take a public health approach to substance use in our community? If this sounds like you, we invite you to apply as our new Medical Director for our Substance Use Treatment Services program. This is a Regular, Part-Time (0.50 FTE (20 hours weekly) - FTE may be negotiable) position. Reporting to the Health Officer, this position serves as medical director for opioid use disorder treatment at the Health Department’s clinic. Work includes supervision of nurse practitioners who provide direct clinical services, process improvement and quality improvement for the clinic, and the administrative responsibilities required for the provision of methadone.  Additionally, the Health Department will soon be launching a street medicine program.
