Rain Makers around the country laced up their sneakers and participated in our annual Talking Rain Sparkle 5K in support of Girls on the Run International, our national charitable partner. Meet Iggy! Earlier this year, Sparkling Ice and Giant Eagle, Inc. partnered to sponsor this black Lab puppy as he trains to become a service dog for a veteran with PTSD through K9s For Warriors. After the Giant Eagle team voted on his name the black Lab puppy officially became Iggy! The name is a nod to the pronunciation of “eagle” with a New England accent. From mastering “heel” to showing off his impulse control, Iggy’s making great progress. He even got practice flying on an airplane and visited Giant Eagle’s headquarters and a local store earlier this month. The Giant Eagle team and shoppers at the store near Pittsburgh enjoyed spending time with Iggy and learning about the mission behind K9s For Warriors. Talking Rain has been a proud partner of K9s For Warriors since 2023. Our support has enabled K9s For Warriors to rescue, train, and pair 17 service dogs with veterans in need.
