I just mentioned two great AI related posts. The second is a YouTube video by the incredible music influencer and YouTuber Rick Beato https://lnkd.in/gYcZaCjR In this video Rick talks about some serious limitations of AI today like basic math and stealing content without the type of context or experience humans bring to the table. He also points out that some of the content AI is stealing and presenting as fact is not accurate. Hallucinations are only a small part of the problem with AI as it stands today.

I read two great AI related posts today. Here is the first. AI is an incredible new tech. It is already having a profound effect on our business and personal lives. However some of the things we are being told are inevitable simply are not true. Anil Dash who was at the forefront of the blogging revolution shares a very valuable does of reality.
Here's something remarkable: You almost *never* hear the most popular view of AI that the majority of people who work in tech have about technologies like LLMs. By popular request, I've tried to sum up that POV as succinctly as possible, and explain why many are afraid to tell a simpler, less dramatic story that contradicts the narrative that the billionaire tycoons are trying to force on the world. https://lnkd.in/e5pjGvVP

Creators in the Travel Industry: you need to be in the room where the future of your business is being built and discussed. TBEX Summit America. Wichita, Kansas was not just another conference: it was a space where the future of travel media (including blogging) was being shaped in real time. I didn’t come just to attend as the co-Director of Partnerships at the Black Travel Alliance Black Travel Alliance, but to listen, and to help move the conversation forward. With everything that was shared by other travel industry professionals at the top of their game, here is what creators need to understand: 📌 You are not just a content creator. You are media. 📌 You’re not here to go viral (though it helps-ish): you should focus on building community, and community drives opportunity. 📌 The right partnerships are built off-platform — in rooms like this, through real connection, strategic alignment and clarity. Showing up at events like TBEX TBEX isn’t just about networking. It’s about being in proximity to alignment with brands, with fellow creatives, and with the future you're trying to build. So as a creator: keep investing in your growth. Keep showing up where the next wave is being shaped. This industry is evolving, and those of us who are aligned are building it together. TBEX, thank you for having me and we can't wait to keep contributing to the Creators Conversation and Economy on a larger scale! Also very grateful for the Toronto representation and we should have definitely taken more photos together :) Next time? Is your hotel doing this? There is an opportunity here for smart marketers.
Have any of you travel journalists or bloggers ever gotten a reply from one of those generic media e-mail addresses the big corporate hotel chains put on their website? Or the ones they put in auto-replies when someone is on vacation? I think I've got a lifetime batting average of 0 with ones like media@ihg.com or hiltonpr@hilton.com. I feel like they're just for show and nobody actually monitors them, even when there's a big juicy media opportunity with a major outlet. The real message seems to be this:
