  • Big news from the Big Easy! The Blood Center in New Orleans is now using the Reveos system, becoming the second U.S. blood center to automate whole blood processing with this FDA-cleared technology. Why it matters: ✅ Boosts platelet inventory* ✅ Reduces hands-on time for staff ✅ Improves product consistency ✅ Minimizes waste and supports a more agile response to patient needs “This is a milestone moment for our center,” says Mickie Wilson-Martin, Production and Distribution Manager, The Blood Center. “We may be small, but we are mighty, and we’re here for our community.” Kudos to The Blood Center for leading the way in modernizing blood operations across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast — proving what’s possible when frontline expertise and next-generation technology come together in service of patients. Catch them at #AABB2025 in San Diego, where CEO Billy Weales will share more about their journey with Reveos. *Data on file at The Blood Center. 👉 https://bit.ly/3JoyNGW

  • Advancing the CGT ecosystem in Singapore together with Advanced Cell Therapy and Research Institute, Singapore (ACTRIS). Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies’ collaboration with ACTRIS is driven by ACTRIS’ vision to establish a national and regional Centre of Excellence for the discovery, process development and manufacturing of cellular-based therapeutics. To enable this vision, we co-hosted a workshop as part of the ACTRIS Signature Workshop Series 2025, bringing together leading minds from Bioprocessing Technology Institute (BTI), National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), National University of Singapore (NUS), and A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology and Research) to explore advancements in T cell, iPSC and MSC manufacturing. Themed “Enabling Integrated and Flexible Manufacturing for Adherent and Suspension Cell Therapies,” the workshop featured end-to-end workflow discussions and hands-on demonstrations with Spectra Optia, Quantum Flex and Finia, sparking meaningful conversations on how automation can streamline processes and accelerate clinical translation. Together, we look forward to strengthening Singapore’s CGT ecosystem through capability-building and paving the way for future initiatives in infrastructure, training and innovation. #CellTherapy #Ecosystem #ACTRIS #QuantumFlex #Finia #SpectraOptia

Founder, Akanji Studio Wellness | Digital Art Therapy & Creative Tech for Emotional Expression

These young sickle cell warriors in Kansas City didn’t just draw, they showed me what courage looks like in colour. I had an incredible virtual session with young Sickle Cell Disease warriors in Kansas City! I had the privilege of leading these amazing kids in exploring how art can help us express emotions, from anger and pain to hope and joy. We talked about naming our feelings and creating artwork that reflects them. They experimented with layering, colour, and storytelling on paper, and shared affirmations together like, “I am more than my disease.” Watching each child turn emotion into art, and then share what it meant, was powerful. These young warriors reminded me why I believe art isn’t just expression, it’s therapy. Now, I want to invite kids across the U.S. to continue the journey by submitting their art to the Blood Superheroes Contest! Show how blood is your superhero and share your unique perspective on blood as an essential therapy for warriors. Submit your artwork here: https://lnkd.in/eNvUAZsG If your organisation, school, or foundation wants to bring this kind of creative healing experience to your community, send me a message. Hands down one of the best virutal sessions i've done till date. That’s what made this partnership with Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies so meaningful. Terumo understands that supporting the sickle cell community goes beyond science, it’s also about creating emotional spaces where kids can express, connect, and heal through creativity. A huge thank you to the Terumo team Tim Bradsby MBA, PMP Lorie McCullough for championing this kind of work and giving these young warriors a platform to turn emotion into art.

  • ✨ Thank You, Team! ✨ Because of your incredible generosity, we raised $100,000 for Blood Cancer United formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and its Light The Night event, making us Denver’s #1 corporate contributor this year. This marks our 15th year participating, with more than $2.3 million raised by our associates, partners, and community in the fight against blood cancer. This photo captures more than a moment — it reflects the heart, compassion, and commitment of our people to bring light to the darkness of cancer. We’re proud to stand together for patients, families, and the future of blood cancer research. #BetterTogether #LightTheNight2025 #TerumoBCT

  • Everyone deserves access to timely healthcare screenings and treatment, yet that’s not a reality for millions of people around the world living with sickle cell disease. That’s why we’re proud to collaborate with Hemex Health, Inc. to help address critical gaps in care and support frontline healthcare workers in places like Africa, India and the Middle East — who may not have access to expensive lab equipment or even reliable electricity. Together, we’re working to bring faster answers, better care and renewed hope to communities that have long been underserved. ➡️ https://bit.ly/4qj7Ghp #BetterTogether #HemexHealth #TerumoBCT
