Our teams love working on projects like the award-winning Central Transfer Station waste facility in Anchorage, Alaska, that deliver value to our clients today while supporting community resilience for the future. Congratulations to our client, Marquette County Solid Waste Management Authority (MCSWMA), on receiving a Clean Water award (2025 George F. Ames PISCES Recognition for Excellence in Environmental & Public Health Protection) from the EPA’s PISCES (Performance and Innovation in the SRF Creating Environmental Success) Program! Our Arie Kremen and the leachate/PFAS project team delivered innovative work on a 50,000 GPD reverse osmosis (RO) leachate treatment system that meets direct discharge requirements for conventional and PFAS contaminants. I'm excited to announce that my team was selected as the top internal solution in Tetra Tech’s annual Tech 1000 Challenge technology incubator competition. Our team was recognized for our solution using artificial intelligence to make business development efforts more effective and efficient. We were able to leverage Tetra Tech technologies and AI experts to rapidly protype our idea and already have discussions in progress for how teams across Tetra Tech can adopt and expand its capabilities. It was great hearing all the innovative ideas from the finalists, who presented compelling ideas for AI-powered real-time monitoring of geotechnical and chemical risks, HazMat risk assessment, and planning and optimization for field operations. A big congratulations to the winners, ReveAL, for their solution to leverage AI-powered scanning to support steel reuse in sustainable building design!
