  • Congratulations to our clients, Orange County Water District (OCWD) and City of Fullerton, California, on receiving the ASCE Orange County 2025 Outstanding Water Project Award for the Fullerton Main Plant #PFAS Treatment Plant. Our Arie Kremen and the leachate/PFAS project team delivered innovative work on a 50,000 GPD reverse osmosis (RO) leachate treatment system that meets direct discharge requirements for conventional and PFAS contaminants. The Fullerton Main Plant’s five wells provide 40% of the City’s Anaheim’s total groundwater production. The PFAS Treatment Plant project is the first in Orange County to use Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) to remove PFAS from drinking water and is phase one of a two-phase project to treat all five wells at the Main Plant facility. The project was designed by Tetra Tech and constructed through a partnership between OCWD and the City of Fullerton. Tetra Tech is proud to deliver engineering design and construction management services for this award-winning project. Learn more: https://hubs.la/Q03nZD_C0. • Our British Columbia biological sciences team recently came together for Field School, a hands-on experience focused on internal learning and team building in Bowen Island, British Columbia. These trainings keep our employees up-to-date and make sure we’re bringing the latest information to our environmental and natural science projects. We kicked off with a land acknowledgment and safety briefing before diving into technical training in wetland assessments, environmental DNA (eDNA) sampling, and breeding bird nest sweeps. Our team also tackled development-related assessments, mitigation planning, and ecological restoration scenarios across diverse habitats—from wetlands and watercourses to conservation lands. Using tools like mini drones, underwater cameras, and nest cavity scopes, we explored ways to enhance fieldwork while minimizing environmental impact. Special thanks to Jeff Matheson for hosting and to Theresa McCaffrey for sharing her eDNA expertise. It’s inspiring to collaborate and grow together as we continue #LeadingWithScience. #LifeAtTetraTech #EnvironmentalScience #eDNA #WetlandAssessment #TeamBuilding #TetraTech

  • This month Tetra Tech welcomed our Leadership Academy Class of 2025! The Class of 2025 comes from across Tetra Tech’s global operations—with Australia, Brazil, Canada, Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United States represented. This year’s participants have already heard directly from Tetra Tech executives on topics such as communications, change management, management styles, recruiting, and leveraging AI in our projects. (Participants had a bit of fun with Microsoft Teams’ amphitheater mode during our first module, which was virtual.) Throughout the year, participants will complete our comprehensive in-house curriculum focused on developing operational, financial, and management skills. Upon graduation, Leadership Academy graduates are tasked with special assignments and go on to be some of Tetra Tech’s top leaders. In fact, 20% of our unit presidents are proud graduates of our Leadership Academy. Please join us in welcoming our next generation of leaders! #LeadingWithScience #LifeAtTetraTech
