After 36 years remarkable years, Charleston Grill will serve its final dinner on Saturday, August 23rd. What began as a fine dining destination became something far more meaningful - a place where moments were celebrated, traditions were built, and guests returned year after year. From the first note of nightly jazz to the final course of the evening, every detail was crafted with care, hospitality, and heart. As we begin this new chapter, The Charleston Place will continue its transformation with a fresh dining concept planned for the future. In the interim, guests can look forward to a special pop-up culinary experience debuting soon. With deep gratitude, we thank every guest who's ever pulled up a chair, raised a glass, or shared a meal with us. We hope you'll join us once more before we say farewell. Limited reservations remain and can be made at Resy.com.

We are proud to see The Charleston Place recognized in Vogue Business for how our property anchors and elevates Charleston’s premier shopping district. As our Managing Director, Becky Hubbard, explains: “We’ve created an ecosystem where visitors can dine, shop, and stay in one destination. You could do some serious [retail] damage without even leaving our block.” Our current $150 million renovation has underscored this vision—positioning The Charleston Place not just as a hotel, but as the centerpiece of a luxurious, immersive guest experience. Whether guests are strolling between Louis Vuitton and Gucci or discovering the boutiques right next door, we’re setting a new standard for destination hospitality with BHC. We officially opened the doors to BHC Bistro yesterday, our brand-new employee cafeteria at The Charleston Place — a welcoming space where our colleagues can gather, connect, and recharge. As stewards of intentional hospitality, we strive to create extraordinary experiences that enrich the lives of our colleagues, communities, and guests. The Bistro is one more way we’re bringing that mission to life—by taking care of the people who make our guest experiences so exceptional. Here’s to great food, great company, and a thriving team! #ThePlaceToCelebrate

This past Independence Day, The Charleston Place came alive in true celebratory style, "In Pursuit of Liberty and Leisure." Our hotel was adorned with American flags throughout the property from Allegiance Flag Supply, creating a patriotic and welcoming ambiance for guests and locals alike. The beauty of the week was elevated by stunning red, white, and blue floral arrangements by the talented team at Swell Botanics, adding vibrant color and elegance to every corner. Guests enjoyed festive offerings, including our signature holiday cocktail, Stars and Sips, as well as seasonal ice cream treats, cookie ice cream sandwiches and a vanilla ice cream topped with caviar. These culinary delights added a playful and luxurious twist to the summer celebration. Live performances by Lauren Hall, Grace Miller Moody, and Corinne Letourneau filled the air with music, setting the perfect backdrop for a week of community, celebration, and summertime joy. As Charleston's gathering place, we were honored to bring people together to mark this special day, embracing both the spirit of independence and the art of leisure in the heart of the Holy City. #ThePlaceToCelebrate #ThePlaceToCharleston

Crafting Culture, One Cocktail at a Time. At BHC, we believe great hospitality starts with great people and continues with shared experiences that inspire, educate, and elevate. Recently, our team rolled up their sleeves and stepped behind the bar for Bartending 101, a hands-on class exploring the fundamentals of mixology. From shaking up classic cocktails to learning the essentials of spirits and service, the session was equal parts fun and skill-building. It’s one example of how we invest in our team, offering opportunities to deepen their knowledge, celebrate craft, and stay connected to the vibrant traditions that fuel Charleston’s hospitality scene. #ThePlacetoCharleston

We’re incredibly proud to share that one of our very own, Julie Hennigan, was selected to participate in the inaugural Forbes Travel Guide Rising Stars program — an honor that highlights emerging leaders shaping the future of hospitality. Julie joined an inspiring group of professionals from around the world for a week of connection, leadership, and immersive learning at Le Logis in Cognac, France. From thoughtful conversations to hands-on experiences, she represented The Charleston Place with passion, grace, and excellence. Please join us in congratulating Julie — we’re so proud to have her on our team. #ForbesTravelGuide #FTRisingStars #ThePlaceToCharleston #ThePlaceToCelebrate
We wrapped up the inaugural Rising Stars first day with a warm and inspiring evening at Le Logis. After orientation and introductions, the Rising Stars enjoyed cocktail hour; a cognac tasting led by our Global Spirits Ambassador, Bastien Gardrat; and a cozy welcome dinner in the kitchen at the 16th-century French country estate. It was a beautiful end to a day focused on connection, curiosity and global hospitality leadership. #FTGRisingStars #ForbesTravelGuide #LeLogisCognac #RisingStars2025 #hospitality #hospitalityindustry #hotels #hotelsandresorts #serviceexcellence #servicematters #hospitalitytraining #hotels #hotelindustry

We’re honored to be part of a hospitality vision that’s rooted in generosity, connection, and a deep sense of place. As BHC shared, the values recognized in this year’s Condé Nast Traveler Hot List—joy, locality, and enduring hospitality—reflect everything we strive for at The Charleston Place. From the experiences we create to the community we serve, we’re proud to carry that spirit forward in the heart of Charleston. #TheCharlestonPlace #ThePlaceToCelebrate
Condé Nast Traveler's 2025 Hot List landed this week—and as always, it’s filled with beautiful places and thoughtful design. But what stood out most to us were the shared values: joy as a throughline, locality as luxury, and hospitality that lingers. At BHC, we’re guided by a clear point of view: hospitality should feel grounded, generous, and deeply connected to its surroundings. We see it every day in Charleston. Here, charm isn’t manufactured. It’s inherited, nurtured, and expressed with care. And we’re proud to carry that spirit forward in everything we do, from our reimagination of The Charleston Place to what’s just ahead with the debut of The Cooper, downtown’s first luxury waterfront hotel. We’re building with intention. Designing for connection. And shaping spaces that reflect not just where we are, but who we’re here for. We were delighted to welcome Spoleto Festival USA back to The Charleston Place for the unveiling of the 2025 poster, Professional Painter in a Dream by Hadi Falapishi. It’s always an honor to host moments like this — and we look forward to being a proud part of the Spoleto season ahead as the gathering place for art, culture, and community in Charleston. #SpoletoFestivalUSA #TheCharlestonPlace #ThePlaceToCelebrate
The 2025 Poster Has Arrived! Professional Painter in a Dream by Hadi Falapishi is the latest addition to Spoleto Festival USA’s poster series tradition. Part of Falipishi’s Professional Painter series, the work explores identity through surreal scenes featuring the artist’s own likeness. Unveiled today at The Charleston Place, the 2025 poster is now available for purchase online and at the Festival Kiosk inside The Charleston Place. Professional Painter in a Dream, 2025 is courtesy of the artist and Andrew Kreps Gallery, New York. Special thanks to Lara A. Björk, Founder & Principal Advisor at Von Rudebeck Art Advisory, for her skillful guidance and partnership in organizing Spoleto Festival USA's 2025 poster.
