Lauderdale Beach Cleanup with VolunteerCleanup.Org Collected 35 pounds of plastic and debris, helping protect South Florida’s coastlines and marine life. ✔️ Food Bank For NYC Packed and sorted 107 boxes totaling 2,536 lbs. of food for neighbors facing food insecurity across the five boroughs. ✔️ Move For Hunger Executed multiple food drives across the portfolio throughout the year, helping to support hunger-relief programs nationwide. ✔️ PFLAG National Hosted our fourth annual Pride Month partnership workshop, “What the Plus?”, an interactive session exploring expansive LGBTQ+ identities and practical allyship in the workplace. ✔️ Bard Prison Initiative (BPI) Partnered for a virtual discussion with BPI leadership and alumni, supporting college-in-prison programs, and executed a day of giving to raise funding toward expanding access to higher education. ✔️ Partnerships for Parks Celebrated our 4th Annual Partnerships for Parks volunteer day, removing 35 bags of natural debris, planting 77 native plants, and donating materials to sustain future restoration efforts. Our commitment extends far beyond our properties - it reaches our residents, partners, and the neighborhoods we’re proud to call home. The actions we take today help shape a stronger, more connected tomorrow. With rent credit on the line, the stakes were high — and so were the bragging rights. Apartment owners and operators are embracing smart thermostats, leak sensors, solar panels, and AI to enhance building efficiency and resilience. With decreasing costs, these technologies are more accessible than ever. The Dermot Company continually invests in new technology and sustainable initiatives across its portfolio to increase the value of its assets and improve the wellbeing of residents. This year, we completed construction of a $1.7 million solar energy system atop two parking garages at Cordoba, a 454-unit luxury apartment community in Doral, Florida, in partnership with BGO.
