A customer recently shared this story about Gaynell, a team member at The Fresh Market: “In early September I was in the hospital the same week of my son’s 10th birthday. All my son wanted was a pumpkin pie, so we called The Fresh Market. We were helped by Gaynell who went above and beyond. Since I couldn’t go inside, she met my kids at the door, took them to the bakery, helped them get the pie, pay, and walk them out. Then, she came to the car with a basket filled with chocolates and treats for my son and told me they were from her – It made me cry in the parking lot. I work at a non-profit and always teach my boys to do good for others. That day, they got to see what it feels like to be on the receiving end.I wanted to make sure Gaynell was recognized because what she did truly meant the world to us.” Gaynell didn’t just help a customer — she created a moment of joy and compassion that will be remembered for years. A recent guest shared this glowing feedback: “First of all, I want to acknowledge the butcher Harry Grice – he is phenomenal! No matter what the request is (and I can be a bit needy), he always steps up in every sense of the word. As a caterer, I often purchase anywhere from $200–$350 worth of meat at a time. I get full tenderloins and porterhouses, and Harry cuts them exactly to my preferences. He is always accommodating and consistently delivers outstanding service.” “The Assistant Guest Services Manager, Dan Burgess, has also been exceptional in helping me locate items throughout the store.
