Did you know today is World Food Day? World Food Day is important because it raises awareness of hunger and malnutrition, promotes sustainable food systems, and encourages global action to end hunger and ensure food security for all. We want to take a moment to remind you all that JPCHC patients all have access to a JPCHC food pantry, whether it's at their office they usually go to, or a nearby location. For more information, visit https://lnkd.in/gQKGhWq8 or call 844-695-7242. #WorldFoodDay #foodaccess #foodpantry #Indiana #indianapolis

Today is World Mental Health Day, a day to remember that mental health is a vital part of an individual’s health. In 2025, the World Health Organization is spotlighting the need to support the mental health of people affected by humanitarian emergencies. They estimate that 1 in 5 people in conflict-affected areas are estimated to have a mental health condition. As WHO states, “By investing in evidence and community-based interventions, we can address immediate mental health needs, foster long-term recovery, and empower people and communities to rebuild their lives and thrive.” We are thankful for all of our excellent behavioral health providers across JPCHC and all they do to help mental health across all locations. #WorldMentalHealthDay #mentalhealthsupport #mentalhealthawareness #indiana

Today marks the 25th anniversary of World Heart Day. Every 29 September, we celebrate World Heart Day to raise awareness of CVD and the importance of taking care of your heart. From individuals, families and schools to community groups and governments, we work together to make equitable heart health a priority and drive change across the globe. One in five people will die early from cardiovascular disease (CVD), which claims more lives than cancer and chronic respiratory diseases combined. Yet, up to 80% of heart disease and stroke cases are preventable. #WorldHeartDay #hearthealth❤️ #communityhealthcenters #CommunityHealthcare

Join us in saying boo to the flu this year! Flu vaccine prevents millions of illnesses and flu-related doctor's visits each year. For example, during 2019-2020, the last flu season prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, flu vaccination prevented an estimated 7 million influenza illnesses, 3 million influenza-associated medical visits, 100,000 influenza-associated hospitalizations, and 7,000 influenza-associated deaths. During seasons when flu vaccine viruses are similar to circulating flu viruses, flu vaccine has been shown to reduce the risk of having to go to the doctor with flu by 40 - 60%. #fluvaccine #flueseason #boototheflu
