The Lids Foundation believes that investing in children’s literacy is one of the most powerful ways to strengthen both individual futures and entire communities. When children learn to read confidently, they gain the foundation for all other learning, unlocking greater opportunities in school and later in life. That is why we are excited to announce our continued partnership with Champions for Literacy. Champions for Literacy (CFL) harnesses the power of sports to Resource & Inspire young readers. By creatively driving funds to literacy programs and facilitating inspirational moments with athletes and corporate volunteers as reading role models, CFL makes reading engaging and accessible. The Lids Foundation understands that simply accessing care can be a challenge for some patients due to a variety of factors that could cause an individual to delay or discontinue treatment. This is why partnering with Sibley Memorial Hospital by creating and maintaining the Lids Foundation Fund for the third year in a row is so important to us. There are many programs that Sibley Memorial has to aid access to cancer treatment, with the Lids Foundation Fund being one of them. Up next on our Winter Series tour... We traveled to Phoenix, AZ to meet up with our longtime friend, Arizona Cardinals' Quarterback, Jacoby Brissett, to hand out almost 500 pairs of shoes to kids at Kenilworth Elementary School as part of our partnership with Shoes That Fit. The kids screamed with excitement when they realized that not only were they getting brand new shoes, but they were going to meet Jacoby! Thanks to our amazing Lids volunteers who helped make sure each kid got the perfect Lids hat along with the right pair of shoes! The excitement and joy from the kids was nonstop throughout the day. Where to next? Stay tuned! #lidsgives

We kicked off our Summer Series with a bang in Chicago with CHICAGO WHITE SOX CHARITIES INC and Southpaw! On June 18th we partnered with White Sox Charities to host children from the White Sox Youth Program for a day filled with shopping and excitement. The day started off with a shopping spree in our Lids Store #9061 in Chicago. All the families were able to stock up on their much-needed White Sox gear. And of course, we made sure they were able to get their items customized as well. Southpaw surprised the kids and brought the excitement and silliness, filling the store with smiles and laughter. The game was rained out, but White Sox Charities made sure they had goodie bags filled with some signed surprises as well as tickets for another day. Memories were made! It was a good day! #lidsgives
