This week, Mirror sponsored and cooked a meal to support the Highland Park High School football team, this is a tradition they have kept going since 2022. Ashley Leger, Food Service Manager, made a very delicious meal of homemade chicken enchiladas. Combined with the sides, she made the meal extra special with her apple caramel crumble dessert. Thank you, Ashley for taking charge of this effort when things have been very busy at our facility! Go Scots!

Happy Monday! Today, our Mirror Monday is hearing from some of our Harvey County Drug Free Youth coalition (D-FY) members about the impact that the coalition has on their work and the kids and families in the county. The coalition is made up of people from all sectors of the community working on reducing youth substance use throughout Harvey County. Mirror is proud to have served as the fiscal agent for D-FY for the last eight years, assisting and facilitating countless impacts during that time. The collaborative prevention work that the coalition members create is a huge value to the communities of Harvey County. Thank you to each and every community partner involved in the coalition! We look forward to so much more impact to come! If you are interested in getting involved with Harvey County D-FY, reach out and we'll connect you to coalition staff!

Since October is National Prevention Month, our Mirror Mondays will be focused on our prevention services and impact. Mirror's nationally-recognized youth development program, STAND, engages and empowers students to stand as leaders among their peers to reduce overall youth substance use. Along the way, students learn important skills, gain opportunities for leadership and advocacy, and are empowered to impact the world around them. We are so proud of the 200+ students in the region that join STAND and help to create a positive norm of healthy behaviors among young people!
