Personally so saddened by this news, but at the same time so wildly inspired to keep going like she did. I really urge you all to to read this beautiful obituary, Jane’s really was an extraordinary life and one we should all aspire to in terms of focus, fervour, and fun, for whatever you believe in. We can all call her an ancestor now and imagine what her advice would be in whatever we are trying to achieve. https://lnkd.in/eDQf2Nhe

🌊 At THE NAT, we believe storytelling is one of the most powerful tools we have to drive nature-positive action — especially when it shines a light on bold innovators reshaping our relationship with the planet. That’s why we’re celebrating the launch of Coral Gardeners: The Next Wave, a stunning new film premiering today 💫 02. 10. 25 💫 that captures the spirit, science, and soul of reef restoration. 🎥 From the shores of Mo’orea, this story follows a group of young changemakers turning the tide on coral decline — blending cutting-edge innovation with deep cultural connection. It’s a masterclass in hope, action, and what’s possible when nature is treated as a partner, not a resource. Watch the trailer: https://ow.ly/IB7m50X4QUO Congratulations Titouan Bernicot and the Coral Gardeners team 👏 📸: Noe Langronier

Driving transformation at scale | Chief Sustainability Officer at L'Oréal North America | #sustainability, #sustainablebusiness, #corporateresponsibility, #socialimpact
The biggest takeaway from this year's #ClimateWeekNYC was witnessing a truly collective effort to create... well, collective effort. Whether rallying around nature restoration, food security, innovation, or resilience, it was a reminder that climate action doesn't have to remain niche. To be truly effective, we must continue thinking and communicating differently. At L'Oréal, this resonates deeply with our approach. We're not just adapting to change—we're creating it through scientific breakthroughs. Our teams are investing in and developing next-generation sustainable and bio-based materials that will redefine beauty's environmental footprint. Through this work, we're proving that when science leads, sustainability and innovation become inseparable. 🧪🌱 Nature continues to inspire our innovation while constantly reminding us of our responsibility to protect the very ecosystems that fuel our creativity. From biomimetic formulations to regenerative sourcing, we're demonstrating that business can be a force for planetary good. The climate movement has been most effective when we move collectively in service of something bigger than ourselves whenever we’ve been confronted with headwinds or uncertainty. I'm coming out of the week more hopeful that the message reached beyond the usual suspects—that we're building a movement that transcends industries, sectors, and silos. ⚡️The future of beauty is sustainable, and the future of sustainability is collective. #ClimateWeekNYC #Sustainability #Innovation #CreateTheBeautyThatMovesTheWorld Ezgi Barcenas Matthew DiGirolamo Gail Gallie Agata Ramallo Garcia Christy Cooper Ellen Jackowski Maxime De Boni Joel Makower John Davies Dave Stangis Keith Zakheim Sophia Li Aditi Mayer Freya Williams Kirsten Flanik Amy Bryson Helen Clarkson Thomas Myers Alison Partie, MPH Alexander Habib Sofia Christensen Nicol SOBCZYK COSTELLO Molly Erman Nobles Crawford Rachel Barre John Osborn Rachel Schnorr

🌱 Regeneration isn’t just about soil — it’s about livelihoods, investment, nutrition, and justice. Last Thursday, THE NAT hosted 'Accelerating Regen: Collective Action to Support Farmers at Scale' — a powerful session during Climate Week NYC that brought together farmers, investors, innovators, and advocates to reimagine the future of food. 💡 Key themes from the conversation: 💰 Farmer ROI & Transition Support — regenerative practices work, but transitional cash flow remains a barrier 📈 Investment & Financial Architecture — food receives <0.5% of impact capital despite being 10% of global GDP 📊 Measurement & Storytelling — shared metrics and tech tools can build trust and reduce reporting costs 🥦 Nutritional Quality — regen practices improve nutrient density, linking soil health to human health 🛒 Consumer Demand — awareness and appetite for regenerative products must grow 🌱 Diversity & Inclusion — Indigenous and farmer voices must be central to governance and strategy We love this topic and THE NAT will continue to collaborate with Deloitte and EAT to refine next steps and carry this momentum forward — including a dedicated roundtable at Davos to drive action at scale. Thanks to our hosts, Blackbarn, and our speakers: Ryan Shadrick Wilson, Jonathan Lundgren, Anders Göransson, Anastasia Volkova, PhD & Matt Inbusch. Thank you to all who joined and contributed. Let’s keep building a food system that works for farmers, consumers, and the planet 🥦 #THENAT #RegenerativeAgriculture #ClimateWeekNYC #FoodSystems

🌿 In the first event of the Solutions Series, THE NAT convened a powerful room of finance leaders at “Investing in Nature: Building a Path to Scale”. Together, we explored how to shift capital flows from exploiting nature to restoring it. The conversation was bold, practical, and deeply collaborative — exactly what’s needed to build a new financial paradigm. 💡 Key themes: • Redirecting finance toward nature-positive outcomes — with clear standards and cultural change • Targeting investors with tailored strategies — risk vs. opportunity matters • Unlocking private finance through public sector reform and strategic comms • Engaging institutions with investable pipelines and compelling case studies • De-risking nature infrastructure — especially in the Global South • Framing nature as an asset class — and creating FOMO for financial returns This isn’t just a conversation. It’s the start of a mission. We'll be sharing the development of the Nature Investment Playbook at Davos. If you're interested in joining this conversation as it evolves, please get in contact! Thank you to our incredible thought leaders, Andrea Egan, CHRISTINA SHAPIRO, Akshay Sriprasad, Alix Lebec and our moderators on a mission Jay Lipman and Hari Balasubramanian 🌱 #NatureFinance #InvestInNature #THENAT 🙏 EcoAdvisors, Nature2, Bank of America

The first step to closing the $800B Nature Finance gap? Making sure the world knows it’s there. That’s the step the NAT Gala just took. Step 1 of a decade long movement. For the first time, Nature Finance isn’t just in policy briefs or investor decks, it’s showing up in the headlines. It’s becoming a mainstream conversation. And that’s exactly what THE NAT was built to do. Because the truth is: it isn’t mainstream yet. Not even close. But if we want to close the gap, we have to make Nature Finance as familiar as climate, tech, or infrastructure. Awareness → attention → allocation. That’s how billions begin to move toward protecting and restoring the natural world. The Gala was just the start. #TheNAT #NatureFinance #ClosingTheGap #ClimateWeekNYC Gail Gallie Hari Balasubramanian Steve Toal Al MacCuish Catherine Kimmel
