🎉 Exciting News from The Vine Room & The Vine Shop! 🎉 After six dynamic years building these businesses, growing through challenges, and creating a truly special community, I’m excited to share a new chapter - both for me and for TVR + TVS. I’m proud to announce that I will be passing the [ownership] glass to Sharlene Peterson, our very first employee and a longtime friend. Shar has been instrumental in shaping these businesses since before day one, and I can’t imagine a better leader to carry forward our mission of making wine fun and approachable. 🍷 To our guests, collaborators, team members, and friends: thank you. 💛 Your support, curiosity, and trust have meant the world to me. This journey has been nothing short of incredible, and I’m deeply grateful for the role you’ve played in it. As for what’s next: I’ll be focusing on new ventures centered around sustainability and climate impact - areas I’m passionate about and excited to dive deeper into, as well as spending more time at our place in Carpinteria, CA. Wowee! What a year! 🎉 🎉 🎉   🍷 In 2024, we celebrated FIVE whole years of sipping + snacking with you at The Vine Room and four years of shopping + wine clubbing at The Vine Shop!   Our Cause of the Month program donated over $1,600 to 12 amazing non-profits this year, and we hosted over 70(!!) events + activities, more than 60 Live Tunes and Beats + Bottles performances, and more than 75 private events.   On the Shop side, we hosted 12 Featured Producer Tastings and 12 Time to Taste sampling events and welcomed 60 new Vine Club members to the coolest wine club around! We also launched our first-ever Happy Hour programming :)   In addition to many amazing new + repeat guest visits, we welcomed the sweetest influencer friends [thank you for alllll the love on social!] and were featured on Drive Time with DeRusha [my first radio interview, yay!], MSP Magazine, and more! We continued to collaborate with our awesome community of fellow small businesses: ModernWell, Bear Cave Brewing, Pink Ivy, AMY'S CUPCAKE SHOPPE, and Pub 819, to name a few! 🙌🏼   As a small biz owner, there are SO many things I continue to learn & take away each year. My top three from 2024 include ⬇️   ✨ Five years in, small business is [still] HARD! Alcohol consumption habits have shifted big time + we aren’t “new” anymore, BUT we have continued to stay true to who we are as a brand by living our core values every day in every decision we make & I strongly believe that will continue to serve us well. ✨ Prioritizing + investing in a team of incredible, talented humans truly makes SUCH a difference [so stoked to welcome our first-ever employee, Shar Peterson, back as our GM!] ✨ Continuing to stay inspired to live a joyful life personally drives me to be a better leader + positively impact those around me - big shout out to Stephanie Harrison + the New Happy movement for being a big contributor here :)   Thank you for all the sweet love and support.
