“It used to be that you could talk over the fence with your neighbors about what they were working on,” says farmer Darren Yanke. “But farmers today have less and less neighbors. We all have more ground to cover than we used to.” 🚜🌽 🌱💧 Through One Good Idea — a farmer-to-farmer platform supported by mini-grants and storytelling — farmers like Darren are helping others adopt conservation practices that improve land, water, and profitability. ➡️ Read more about how farmers are using One Good Idea: https://ow.ly/wNoR50XbeFy

Where Opportunity Takes Root
About us
The Walton Family Foundation is, at its core, a family-led foundation. Three generations of the descendants of our founders, Sam and Helen Walton, and their spouses, work together to lead the foundation and create access to opportunity for people and communities. We work in three areas: improving K-12 education, protecting rivers and oceans and the communities they support, and investing in our home region of Northwest Arkansas and the Arkansas-Mississippi Delta. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 We are committed to embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization to foster an environment where all associates THRIVE and belong. We do this by creating: • a culture committed to continuous learning that recognizes and values differences • an environment of respect and connection to learn from the richness of identities, experiences, and perspectives • fair access for all to opportunities for growth and advancement

“The Delta’s future must be written by those who live its story every day.” The Delta isn’t lacking in creativity or ambition. It’s lacking infrastructure, access and, most importantly, belief from the outside. In a new op-ed in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, our Home Region Program Director Robert Burns and Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation board chair Cedric Williams call on us to listen to Delta voices, invest in Delta ideas and stand with Delta communities. 🔗 Read more: https://ow.ly/fqij50XaEzu

New research from Gallup and the Walton Family Foundation reveals a powerful connection between workplace satisfaction and the support teachers receive. 🟢 77% of teachers who have the instructional materials they need are satisfied with their schools. 🔴 That number drops to just 44% when teachers don’t have what they need. This national report also highlights the critical — but underused — role of collaborative planning, peer observation, and teacher voice in professional development. The data affirms what many educators already know: when teachers are supported, students benefit. 🔗 Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/e8PCfHZT
