 🌞 Solar's Unstoppable Global Surge The numbers from H1 2025 are stunning: 🔸 China: 256 GW of new solar capacity 🔸 India: 24 GW (up 49% YoY) 🔸 US: 21 GW (dropped to 3rd place) 🔸 Global total: 380 GW—nearly 2/3 of all 2024 deployments in just 6 months While Trump 2.0 policies rolled back the IRA solar incentives and tax credits, the rest of the world doubled down. China now installs more solar than every other country combined. Why the global acceleration? ✅ Plummeting costs (panels, inverters, batteries) ✅ Speed of deployment (9-18 months vs. years for other sources) ✅ Massive electricity demand growth (AI, data centers, EVs) ✅ No viable alternatives at scale...yet The paradox? U.S. companies rushed to deploy solar in early 2025 because of the policy changes, accelerating installations before tax credits expired. The fusion energy connection: Until commercial fusion comes online (targeting 2035), solar remains the fastest scalable power source to meet explosive demand.
