When a spring ice storm left The Highlands buried in inches of ice, our Boyne Resorts team grabbed chainsaws and got to work. It wasn’t easy, but together we kept moving forward. As one team member said, “It wasn’t about how much work there was — it was about sticking together until it was done.” 🫶 This story isn’t just about recovery — it’s about grit, resilience, teamwork, and the people who make The Highlands what it is. Our team continues to work this summer and fall, clearing debris to prepare the ski slopes for winter. The damage of the storm will forever impact our northern Michigan landscape. We recently had the chance to share a glimpse of summer at The Highlands with WOOD-TV8’s Maranda. From pony rides and Highland cattle encounters to scenic bike trails, swimming, golf, and live performances from The Young Americans - there is something here for all ages to enjoy. As the first of its kind in the region, this lift is a milestone for Midwestern skiing, and we’re proud to have provided our industry partners with high-quality aluminum loading area systems. The custom black vinyl maze gate covers also highlight their brand, reinforcing our motto that it is our job to make you look good!
