A Day to Remember: Take A Child to Work Day 2025 One of our favorite days of the year has come and gone and it did not disappoint. On Thursday, April 24, Fast Retailing and Theory welcomed over 100 children and their grown-ups for our annual Take a Child to Work Day. It was a joy to open our doors and give them a peek into the world of fashion and retail. The day began at UNIQLO Soho, where families kicked off the morning with a store tour before heading downtown to Theory. At our Design & Innovation Center, kids explored the artistry behind our work—from watching a live demonstration in the cutting room to designing their own hats and participating in hands-on craft activities. For our youngest guests under four, we added face painting and balloon animals to the mix. Every child had the chance to pose for a professional family or individual portrait, and our rooftop lunch was capped off with a lively raffle. To win, kids had to recall fun facts they learned throughout the day, ensuring they were engaged and learning about what their parents do at work. Remarked parent and VP of Wholesale Planning for Theory and Helmut Lang, Ricki Segal, “My son sees my husband and me leave everyday to go to “work,” but he doesn’t really know what that means. It was great for him to come in and see where I’m going and what I’m doing everyday after I say goodbye to him in the morning. While he’s only 2 right now, I’m so glad to be a part of a company that allows our children to see a vibrant workplace, giving them something to aspire to in the future!” We love this tradition, not just for the joy it brings, but for the inspiration it sparks. Our hope is that moments like these encourage future generations to dream big—and maybe even consider a career in fashion.

Good Talks: A series of discussions putting scalable sustainability solutions into action, hosted by Theory in partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). In continued celebration of Earth Month, our Meatpacking store held the fourth installment in this series, Circularity, Considered, a conversation focused on circularity through the use of sustainable materials, upcycling, closed-loop production, and product life extension. Our panelists included the founder of The Circularity Project, Indré Rockefeller, Marco Mantellassi, CEO of Manteco, Natalie Chanin, founder and creative director of Alabama Chanin and Project Threadways, and moderator Wendy Waugh.
