Tompkins recently hosted 'Tompkins Night' at the Reading Fightin Phils! We love partnering with the Phils and creating memories for families in the local Reading area. Our very own Pete Rowley, Commercial Lending Manager, threw out the ceremonial first pitch (sources say it was a strike right down the middle)! Thank you to the Fightin Phils and our team members who attended for making the night so special.
About us
For generations, Tompkins has helped the communities we serve thrive and grow. As a community-based financial institution, we consider it our duty to provide innovative financial solutions for local families and businesses as they navigate their financial journeys. Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer hoping to put down roots, or an entrepreneur looking to grow your business, Tompkins is here for you every step of the way. Looking back, we’ve served our communities since 1836, and we’ve evolved over time to better serve those who need us most. Our longevity gives us our strength, but adapting to the everchanging landscape allows us to continue to innovate and grow for the betterment of our customers, our company, and our community. When four community banks across New York State and Pennsylvania came together to form the Tompkins family of banks, we realized we were on to something special. For many years, Tompkins Trust Company, Tompkins Bank of Castile, Tompkins Mahopac Bank, and Tompkins VIST Bank operated independently as separately chartered financial institutions, while benefitting from the strength of a shared vision and mission. Now, we’ve come together as one, and we have our customers and communities to thank for helping us reach this next step in our journey. From our rich history comes an innovative vision – a community bank with local ties and leadership, but with broad financial capabilities and strength. Our team members understand the significance of local decision-making, leadership, and philanthropy but have the tools and resources necessary to provide innovative products and services to local families and businesses. It’s the best of both worlds.

Outside of Tompkins, Steph dedicates her time to volunteering with organizations that support Children, building qualities that serve her in her work with Tompkins. “I like to volunteer my time, especially at organizations that actively work to better the lives of children. Tompkins Community Bank reposted this
The first half of 2025 has been a tale of two quarters. Following a solid 2024, sentiment shifted during the first quarter of 2025 from early optimism to growing uncertainty. Driven largely by the unpredictability of the new administration’s trade policy, US GDP declined, companies delayed CapEx and/or did not issue forward guidance and hiring slowed. Big US tech companies lagged significantly, giving way to the traditional value and international sectors of diversified portfolios. The second quarter saw a notable rally in investment markets as early trade tensions eased and a 90-day de-escalation period temporarily paused heightened tariffs, especially against China. Though uncertainty remained, the reprieve gave investors a chance to re-enter the market, where riskier assets like tech/IT were less expensive after their first quarter’s pullback. Read our full market update for insights on the markets performance so far and what continued market turbulence could mean for the second half of the year. https://hubs.la/Q03yLp3x0
