Earlier this month, representatives from Tower joined students and faculty at the University of Chicago for a quantitative investment panel co-hosted with Bank of America. We shared insights on the future of AI and data science in trading, along with what it takes to succeed in quantitative finance today. With 140+ students in attendance and lively discussion that ran overtime, it was a great opportunity to connect with emerging talent and exchange ideas about where the field is headed. Last month, Ramit Sawhney, Tower’s Global Head of Core AI & ML, joined fellow industry leaders at the Cornell Financial Engineering Manhattan 2025 Future of Finance & AI Conference for a lively discussion: “Understanding the Future of AI in the 21st Century.” Ramit spoke about the growing importance of human-in-the-loop AI systems and why human oversight remains essential — particularly as AI becomes more autonomous. He also shared insights on the evolution of agent-based AI, their potential in autonomous workflows, and how transformer architectures make these systems possible. The discussion extended to how large language models can be scaled not only to power real-world financial applications, but also as foundational models for predictive time series tasks. Many thanks to Cornell Engineering for bringing together such a forward-looking group of researchers, practitioners, and innovators driving the next era of financial AI.

Our Shanghai office recently hosted Tower China’s first Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) panel: From Golf to Life. The discussion blended leadership insights with personal reflection, featuring Chris Shen, founder of WELINKS, a women-led indoor golf brand redefining how urban professionals in China experience the sport. Chris shared her journey as an entrepreneur and the lessons golf offers beyond the course — power, honesty, resilience, and focus. We wrapped up with an indoor golf outing for Tower colleagues, turning inspiration into practice and continuing WIN’s mission to foster authentic leadership, inclusion, and connection across our global offices. 🚴♂️ Tower at Rides FAR 2025 🚴♀️ This past weekend, we were proud to support the Rides FAR charity cycling event, with Tower joining hundreds of riders nationwide to raise funds for the Autism Science Foundation — which funds evidence-based autism research and provides crucial support to autism families. Rides FAR (For Autism Research) has grown into one of the most anticipated charity events on the Street, and we’ve been honored to support them for the past several years. Events like this reflect Tower’s commitment not only to excellence in trading, but also to the communities where we live and work.
