  • We had so much fun with Kite Pharma caring for trees in South Gate! 🌳 For every tree we plant, TreePeople dedicates 3-5 years of care to ensure the longevity of its life. 🍃  If your team wants to help us care for trees, reach out to us at partnerships@treepeople.org ! 👋

As part of our Month of Service, Kite team members in Los Angeles partnered with TreePeople to care for trees in LA neighborhoods — creating greener spaces and deeper roots in the communities where we live and work. Community improvement is one of the ways we give back and strive to make a positive impact.

  • No child dreams of playing on hot asphalt. And yet, more than 2.5 million K-12 students in California attend schools with less than 5 percent tree canopy in their play areas. That’s why TreePeople is currently in the process of greening more than two dozen school campuses here in Southern California, to help make them greener, cooler, and healthier for generations to come. When we begin these school greening projects, we make sure to ask students–what would YOU like to see in your dream schoolyard? Listen as students from Independence Elementary in South Gate share their vision for their own green school greening project, brought to life with illustrations from our school greening workshops. https://lnkd.in/guAKEu35

  • What a creative way to support our work!🌲 We are so grateful for Compass Diversified (NYSE: CODI) for sponsoring the planting of a tree for every Uber Green / Electric ride taken by their employees in the month of April.🌟 This is such a unique way to get staff involved with a giving opportunity, allowing them to feel like part of the impact.👍 They sponsored a total of 33 trees to be planted in local burn scars, which will help make our communities and wildlands more resilient for generations to come.❤️  If your company wants to get involved, email partnerships@treepeople.org today!

In celebration of Earth Day this month, I’m excited to announce that we have teamed up with TreePeople , an organization dedicated to greening Southern California’s urban spaces and mountains. Throughout April, for every Uber Green or Electric ride taken by our employees, we’ll be donating to TreePeople’s Wildfire Resilience Fund. These contributions will directly support the reforestation of the Angeles National Forest, Santa Monica Mountains, and areas impacted by the Palisades fire. This initiative is more than just a donation—it’s a collaborative effort to improve our planet, driving positive change through collective action. Thank you Colleen Arévalo for spearheading this initiative

  • More trees and plants on campus can improve everything from students’ health to their learning outcomes. But unfortunately, many kids are forced to play in asphalt-filled schoolyards with little to no green space. Are you ready to make a change at your local school? Here are a few tips for how to get a school greening project started! https://lnkd.in/gx7akCyP

  • We did it!🥳 We have officially closed out Earth Month where we hosted the most Corporate Events in one month than ever before!👏 We had so much fun hosting: 15 Teams for Trees Volunteer Events 6 Tree Giveaways 3 Special Site Activations 2 Lunch & Learn Sessions Our staff was able to engage with over 300+ employees from various companies, talking to them about our work and sharing our love of trees.🌳 We are so grateful for our partners who choose to volunteer with us. 👍 It’s such a great way for employees to connect outside of the workspace and learn something new about their environment.☀️ If you’re interested in hosting an event later this year, please reach out to us at corporations@treepeople.org .
