  • Today for #TBTriHealth, we're focusing on just last year when Good Samaritan Hospital opened and dedicated a new OB-GYN training room to Dr. Michael Baggish in October 2024! The training room includes a lifelike mannequin that simulates natural birth, c-section birth and other various delivery complications, providing meaningful training to OB residents at GSH. But at the TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute, we recognize the unique risks for women, partnering with them to improve heart health. Check in with TriHealth cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Kathryn O'Keefe as she breaks it down further on our YouTube page: s.trihealth.com/NPafHG

Karla Morales is a proud first generation Mexican American and college graduate whose healthcare journey began as an STNA. She later became an LPN and spent nine years as a Spanish medical interpreter before becoming a nurse. Her passion for helping families overcome language barriers led her to combine her skills in communication and care. Now serving in the Mother Baby Unit, Karla is committed to supporting moms and babies with empathy and excellence. • After undergoing a procedure on his paralyzed vocal cord and various cancer treatments including chemo, radiation and immunotherapy, Tom thought he was out of the woods when he got to remission. • We understand that most people won't want just anyone to handle their cancer treatment. That's why we encourage our patients to get to know our physicians before you ever even schedule an appointment with our "Meet the Doctors!" YouTube series! Today we're highlighting Breast Surgical Oncologist Dr. Anne Kuritzky—let her tell you about herself here: s.trihealth.com/IFA8DW

  • Earlier this week, TriHealth EMS and TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute hosted an LVAD educational dinner, where Drs. Kathryn O'Keefe and Omar Jawaid spoke and provided demonstrations, even offering the opportunity to get hands on with actual LVAD hardware and ask questions. LVAD stands for Left Ventricular Assist Device, which is a mechanical pump that helps the left ventricle pump blood more effectively through the body. Thank you to both Drs. O'Keefe and Jawaid for their expertise on LVAD, as well as TriHealth EMS for coordinating educational opportunities for first responders, helping them expand their tools for care!
