AI-powered Education—Where storytelling meets superintelligence
About us
We empower districts with accredited middle and high school original credit, credit recovery, and multilingual courses that meet the needs of today’s learners and educators. Our platform was built from the ground up based on extensive feedback from educators and team members who understand firsthand the challenges of teaching today's digital-native students. Teachers told us they needed better ways to engage students, track progress effortlessly, and improve district-wide outcomes—and we listened. Through close collaboration with educators, we developed features that directly address their most pressing needs: bite-sized, engaging video content that captures student attention, flexible language support to serve diverse student populations, comprehensive homework help, seamless progress monitoring tools that save teachers time, and comprehensive analytics that help districts boost graduation rates and student success metrics. Backed by top accreditations (Cognia, WASC) and approvals (UC-AG, NCAA, College Board), Subject delivers measurable results that administrators can trust. Our partner districts report increased student engagement, improved completion rates, and stronger academic outcomes. Ready to transform learning in your district? Let's discuss how Subject can help you achieve your educational goals.

Big love to the crew that makes Subject, Subject. And to every partner and student who’s believed in us from day one… this one’s for you. 🫶
Huge day for us: Subject ranked #40 on the 2025 LinkedIn Top Startups List in the United States. Yesterday I celebrated with our team at our LA HQ, and today I’m celebrating with our team at our Austin HQ. I’m so grateful to share this moment with the people who have been building the future of learning with so much grit, determination, and passion for the past five years. We started small with our goal to create higher-quality educational content. We filmed Season 1 on UCLA’s campus with no budget, and we were scrappy with what we had. Fast forward to today, and we have a team of 75 FTEs, HQs in Los Angeles and Austin, and we’re live in 700+ schools. Now, with the recent launch of Subject.ai, we’re powering storytelling with superintelligence - giving students the tools they need to succeed in the age of content. We’re so lucky to have the chance to touch the lives of thousands of teachers and students every day with our work. What an enormous privilege. To our Subject team: thank you for pushing the boundaries of what education can look like. To our partners: thank you for trusting us with your students. To LinkedIn: thank you for the recognition. And to everyone we haven’t worked with yet - we’re just getting started. We met GForce Sports Academy a year ago — back when they were just an idea to change how student-athletes train, learn, and grow. These students left traditional school to chase their sports dreams — but they never gave up on getting a great education. When you’re competing at an elite level, your “normal day” looks a lot different. Between practices, travel, and training, balancing both can feel impossible. That’s where Susan Goodman and Shawn Pauly are redefining what’s possible — creating a model where education and athletics work together, powered by Subject. Within one year, GFSA achieved a 100% Graduation and College Advancement Rate. If you’re a student-athlete in the Chicagoland area, check them out. Big things are happening here 🔗 gforcesportsacademy.com #school #sport #success

Would you leave traditional school to chase your dream? This group of Chicago student athletes did. Tomorrow we're dropping a video in partnership with GForce Sports Academy. Stay tuned! 💙 #sports #school #success
