One of the unique things we've done here at Trellus (YC W22) is try to push most of our customers to do month-to-month plans There's a lot of risk in this strategy in that from a pure financial basis, you can lock in longer-term committed ARR and reduce churn risk But at our stage, we feel it's much more important to feel the 'pain' of someone churning - it helps instruct us on where the product is failing and the most improtant parts to keep innovating on - many of our best product features came from a user churning because of X or Y reason (e.g., auto-opening linkedins or simple things like being able to sort by some specific filter) For larger enterprises, we naturally do go for annuals due to the setup time associated with those contracts but more often than not, we feel that monthly contracts let the product stand on its own merits and help us compete #sdrs #bdrs #ai #coldcalling #sales #salesenablement
