Women in menopause face complex health issues that can impact their quality of life, sense of well-being and long-term health. Comprehensive evidence-based menopause care is critical to help women lead their best and healthiest lives. This #MenopauseAwarenessMonth, we’re shining a light on an often-overlooked chapter of women’s health. Only 25% of women who seek care for menopause-related issues receive treatment – but that’s changing. The Menopause Society’s NextGen Now Initiative is investing $10M to train 25,000 clinicians in menopause care. Unified’s Susan Scanlon MD, MSCP spoke with Healio about why this work matters, and how better education can improve outcomes for women everywhere. To learn more about how Unified affiliates are leading the way in menopause support and treatment, visit our booth at the Menopause Society Annual Meeting October 21-25. Our Unified Breast Imaging leaders were excited to tour the Hologic, Inc. facility in Delaware last week. They got to see how Hologic’s Selenia mammography machines are built, view a demonstration of the new Envision mammography platform, and explore AI-enabled detection. Technology and manufacturing play such a critical role in early breast cancer detection and treatment, and Unified is committed to bringing the most advanced solutions to women. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #EarlyDetection

September is Sexual Health Awareness Month - an important reminder that intimacy and sexual well-being are central to overall health. For many women, symptoms like low libido, vaginal dryness, or painful sex are brushed aside as “normal.” But sexual health is an essential part of overall well-being—it deserves the same attention as any other area of health. Women should never feel they have to accept discomfort or loss of intimacy as their “new normal." Unified’s affiliated providers specialize in perimenopause, menopause and sexual health. Through education, resources, and compassionate care, they help women find real answers and relief. Explore our collection of articles on sexual health and wellness, including: 🔹Understanding the difference between desire and arousal disorders 🔹 Navigating intimacy during menopause 🔹 Reviving connection in a sexless relationship 🔹 The role of hormones in sexual health Link to articles in comment below! Because sexual health is healthcare - and you deserve care that listens, supports, and helps.

Women in Medicine Month: a time to honor the women physicians who are shaping the future of healthcare. At Unified, women are not only represented, but they are leading change: 🔹 67% of our affiliated OBGYN physicians are women 🔹 99% of our affiliated advanced practice providers are women These women are more than numbers. They are the faces patients trust, the leaders transforming care, and the mentors showing the next generation what’s possible. As Dr. Ada Stewart, past president of the AAFP, reminds us: “I always go back to the fact that you can’t be what you don’t see.” Our women physicians embody this truth every day. By leading in women’s health, they are not only improving outcomes for their patients, but also creating a future where women see themselves in every corner of medicine. We are proud to celebrate them this month and every month.
