  • This Memorial Day, we're remembering and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our nation. And to the veterans, families and friends of the military holding on to cherished memories today—a community that includes members of our own United family—we're keeping you in our hearts today, too.

  • Today, The New York Times shared an in-depth look at our operations at EWR, detailing how our team of nearly 14,000 Newark-based employees works to get you safely and reliably where you need to go. “You’re always looking out for the customer… to make sure that they’re taken care of.” —Newark Operations Control Manager Kim Ventura Read more: uafly.co/EWR_NYT

  • Now this is how you build a legacy. 💪🔧 MCO Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor Laura S. began her career in aviation nearly 40 years ago. Over the decades, she's grown into a leader who fosters an empowering environment of support and excellence, and she takes pride in seeing more women enter Tech Ops — especially her daughter Stephanie S., now a Senior Line Engineer II at United. Today we join the entire airline industry and others that employ FAA-certified technicians to celebrate Technical Operations Employee Appreciation Day and Aviation Maintenance Technician Day. Three perfectly-tuned cheers for Laura and our entire rock-steady team of more than 16,000 employees who ensure the safety and reliability of our aircraft, equipment and facilities.

  • Filed under: extremely cool travel goals ❄️ United IT Analyst BaoTran L. achieved her goal of visiting all seven continents before turning 27 by checking the last one off her list: Antarctica. There, she discovered unexpected landscapes, wildlife and even runways. BaoTran hiked to the top of an actual airstrip built on top of a glacier that was once used to fly in researchers and supplies when the icy sea made traveling by ship impossible. So there's even an aviation angle in Antarctica. 😉🧊✈️

  • "Blistering fast.” - The Verge “Every bit as fast as advertised” - The Points Guy Last week, we got some *positive feedback* on Starlink Wi-Fi, our new inflight connectivity. Today, our first customers found out what it’s like to break the Wi-Fi barrier and stream, scroll, shop and game just like at home. And it’s FREE for MileagePlus members. Rolling out across our fleet now.

  • Several United teams recently spent time with our Accessible Travel Advisory Board (ATA Board), a group of volunteers from the disability community. Their expertise and feedback help us examine how we can improve the travel experience for people of all abilities. The partnership has helped us bring innovative new technology to seatback screens, which offers the most extensive suite of visual, hearing and mobility features in the world. We’re also adding braille signage on board our entire fleet and updated our mobile app to be more accessible with color contrast, magnification, and screen reader compatibility. We’re grateful for the ongoing guidance of our ATA Board. Events like this celebration for Global Accessibility Awareness Day continue to help United make traveling better for everyone.
