We’re so grateful to our partners at Umpqua Health Alliance for helping us bring food—and dignity—to rural communities across Douglas County. Their support through Community Health Improvement Plan funding helped expand our Outpost Mobile Food Center to reach geographically isolated residents where access to healthy food can be miles away. Homelessness is rising in Douglas and Josephine Counties, with more seniors and people with disabilities struggling to afford housing. Wildfires are increasing in Oregon, and their smoke lingers long after the flames are out—impacting health and deepening poverty.
