This past Sunday was an exciting night as we held our annual Jenesis Innovative Research Awards™ and Trailblazer Awards™ ceremony. Both of these awards recognize US-based female researchers and clinicians who are breathing new life into the study of pulmonary hypertension (PH), idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), and lung transplantation (LTx). The Innovative Research Awards were given to Dr. Jacqueline DesJardin, Dr. Katarina Zeder, and Dr. Caitlin Demarest for their efforts in advancing novel research and enhancing patient care in PH, IPF, and LTx. This year’s Trailblazer Award recipient, Dr. Marilyn Glassberg, and our Emerging Trailblazer Award recipient, Dr. Jianing Fu, were honored for driving the future of PH and LTx research. At #UnitedTherapeutics, we are inspired by each of these #WomenInPH who are making a difference through the power of research. Congratulations to our 2025 award recipients.

Meet Laura Hockaday Kang, part of the Tissue Engineering Team within the Organ Manufacturing Group at #UnitedTherapeutics. This small but powerful team is focused on one of the more ambitious frontiers in medicine: scaling up tissue engineering processes to cellularize organ-scale 3D-printed lung scaffolds. Laura's interest in medicine and desire to help people led her to a career in bioengineering to make a real difference in patients' lives. She believes that while individual contributions can be powerful, true breakthroughs happen when passionate minds work together. As she puts it, “by operating within our team, our impact and potential is so much greater.” At UT, she has found her place—and her people— where science meets purpose. Thank you for all you do, Laura! You make us #UTProud.

At #UnitedTherapeutics, we believe in perseverance, purpose, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Dr. Martine Rothblatt, our CEO, embodies that spirit—driven by love, resilience, and an unshakable vision. To learn more about Martine's incredible journey, check out the On Purpose+ interview with Zoetis CEO, Kristin Peck, at the link below. #OnPurpose
“Believe in yourself and don’t give up.” Dr. Martine Rothblatt took that advice to heart—literally and figuratively—as she set out to save her daughter from a rare pulmonary disease and ended up transforming what’s possible in medicine, aviation, and beyond. In my latest #OnPurpose episode, the CEO of United Therapeutics Corporation shares a message of resilience, vision, and the power of purpose as she blazed one of the most extraordinary careers I’ve ever encountered. Her story personifies the force of human ingenuity—from launching satellite radio to piloting the world’s first zero-carbon helicopter. And despite “99 no’s” along the way, Dr. Rothblatt reminds us to aim for the stars, wherever they lead. At a time when so many are craving inspiration, this is exactly the kind of story we need. Don’t miss this glimpse of genius in action—and be sure to watch the full On Purpose+ interview on YouTube for insights that will stay with you: https://lnkd.in/e_e2BTCX

May 5th is #WorldPHDay—a day that deeply resonates with our mission at #UnitedTherapeutics. Today we come together as one #PulmonaryHypertension (PH) community to advocate for access to PH diagnosis, treatment, and care. Yet, our commitment extends far beyond a single day. Every day of the year, we remain steadfast in our mission to improve and extend the lives of people affected by PH, their families, healthcare providers and advocates. #SometimesItsPH #WeBreatheUnited #WorldPHDay2025

For #ThrowbackThursday, we’re reminiscing on our annual #TakeYourKidsToWorkDay that took place last week. From curious first graders to insightful high schoolers, young Unitherians got a behind-the-scenes look at a variety of departments—from data & analytics to regenerative medicine and everything in between. The day wasn’t just about exploration—it was also about giving back. Our families joined forces with the Activate Good team to assemble care kits and supplies for neighbors in need, making a meaningful impact together. This event left us feeling inspired by the bright minds of tomorrow. Thank you to all the parents who shared their families with us—we’re already looking forward to the next one! #UnitedTherapeutics
