  • Freight audit is often bundled as a “freebie” by freight forwarders. Convenient? Maybe 🤔 Costly? Absolutely ✅ Freight audit is one of the highest-leverage financial controls in logistics. Treat it as a courtesy, and you can end up leaving as much as 10% of your freight spend on the table 🚢 💸 Your forwarder’s job is to move shipments, not to ensure financial precision. Audits done in-house are typically manual, inconsistent, and reactive. That means you’re paying for their blind spots, literally. ♦️ The Problem with Letting Freight Forwarders Audit Themselves ♦️ When your forwarder says, “We handle audit for you,” here’s what that usually means: 👉 Not built for precision. Most forwarders use manual checks with no scalable audit system. 👉 Divided attention. Teams are stretched across dozens of customers, not focused on you. 👉 Reactive, not preventive. Overcharges slip through and disputes often don’t happen. 👉 Loss of context. Institutional knowledge leaves when people do; contract nuances are forgotten. 👉 Conflict of interest. In many cases, they’re auditing their own charges or preferred carriers. Auditing isn’t a back-office task. It’s a financial safeguard. It should be owned by a system built for accuracy, neutrality, and speed. 🔹 Enter UnityAudit: An Independent Audit Agent, powered by AI 🔹 That’s why we built UnityAudit, an AI-powered freight audit agent designed to help global shippers and logistics service providers automate freight audit, prevent overcharges, and recover savings with minimal operational lift. Because Unity already ingests, normalizes, and unifies logistics data across carriers, forwarders, TMS, and ERP systems, UnityAudit begins with clean, connected data. That foundation is what makes it format-agnostic, capable of handling the messy realities of freight billing such as non-standard charge codes, pass-through invoices, and fragmented documents, with ease. • UnitySCM, the data versatility platform for global supply chains, today announced the launch of UnityAudit, an AI-powered freight audit agent designed to help global shippers and logistics service providers automate freight audit, prevent overcharges, and recover savings with minimal operational lift 💸🚢 Built on UnitySCM’s unified platform and leveraging agentic AI capabilities to automate complex, multi-step tasks — like parsing data, auditing charge codes against contracts, cross-referencing shipment details, initiating disputes, and tracking resolution — UnityAudit transforms complex logistics data, including tracking, contracts, shipment records, and invoices from fragmented and siloed sources into actionable financial intelligence. Because Unity already normalizes and unifies data from carriers, freight forwarders, TMS, and ERP systems, UnityAudit begins with clean, connected data, eliminating the integration hurdles that often slow down traditional audit processes. This makes UnityAudit format-agnostic and highly flexible, enabling it to handle the messy realities of freight billing, such as non-standard charge codes, forwarder pass-through invoices, and fragmented information. The result is immediate value: automated savings, audit-driven accountability, and clean data that fuels smarter operations downstream. 🗣️ “UnityAudit is the fastest way to see real ROI from your supply chain data,” said Amir Taichman, CEO of Unity SCM. “Companies are routinely overcharged by as much as 10 percent on their freight spend. UnityAudit not only finds that money, it helps get it back for you.” Learn More 👉 https://lnkd.in/djmuT9-i

  • 💸 10% of your ocean freight spend might be slipping through the cracks! 💸 That’s $200,000 on a $2M spend, just like one of our early clients uncovered using UnityAudit. The culprit? Overcharges, contract mismatches, and billing discrepancies hiding in plain sight. UnityAudit helps you: ✔️ Surface hidden overcharges ✔️ Reduce freight spend ✔️ Gain visibility, without disrupting your workflows 🧠 AI-powered, zero-manual setup. Just send us your freight invoices, contracts, and shipment history in any format you have. We do the rest: standardizing, auditing, and showing exactly where the money is leaking. In one example: 📦 800 invoices analyzed 💰 $2M in freight spend ⚠️ $200K in recoverable discrepancies found ✅ No system integration needed You’ll get a clear Freight Audit Report in 2–5 business days with: • Estimated recoverable value • Error breakdowns • Actionable billing insights And because UnityAudit runs on the UnitySCM platform, you're just one step away from PO visibility, shipment tracking, and a smarter, more autonomous supply chain. 🔍 Auditing your freight spend shouldn’t be a project. With UnityAudit, it’s just… done. 📖 Read more 👉 https://lnkd.in/eU46Uzkc 👀 See how much you could save 👉 https://lnkd.in/eFciv-ht CC: Amir Taichman Barak Cohen Kevin Cordeiro Nir Alon Tal Brown Stephanie Nevin Kennedy Matthews Royi Kenan

  • David Coburn recently published one of the most thoughtful overviews of agentic AI we've seen so far ⚙️🤔 He captures the real promise behind the buzz: AI agents that don’t simply answer questions but instead they can act, coordinating across systems, learning from outcomes, and reshaping how supply chains function. It’s exciting, overdue, and happening fast. But here’s the part we think is critical (yet) often missing: 🚨 Agentic AI only works when the agents are connected 🚨 By connected, we mean shared context, memory, and data. Without that, you end up with smart agents making isolated decisions meaning they can solve local problems but do little to address global ones. This is something that we need to avoid (as we've already seen results when each team builds their own siloed system). At UnitySCM, we’re building the platform to avoid that mistake. Not just another agent, but the connective tissue between them. So your freight audit agent can catch billing errors but equally, it can also then inform contract negotiation. Your booking agent doesn’t just pick the cheapest carrier, it understands service risk, performance history, and delivery windows. Your entire operation starts to learn and improve as a system. This is Agentic Logistics: a modular, AI-powered approach where specialized agents collaborate across a shared platform with each one making the others better. David’s piece lays the groundwork for what’s coming. We’re working on the infrastructure to make sure it delivers. Highly recommend giving the article a read if you haven’t already (link in comments). Thanks for the thoughtful exploration, David 👏

  • 🗣️ “We probably don’t need this. We’re pretty efficient already” ❌ That’s the most common reaction when we speak about freight audit. And it’s understandable, explains VP of Product, Kevin Cordeiro in this latest opinion piece. That's because most companies haven’t seen the numbers, so they assume the margin for error is small. Half a percent, maybe one. And it's true, that’s not worth the effort. 👉 But what we’re seeing is closer to 5–8% across the board, depending on the quality of invoicing and the complexity of the contracts! Even when we offer to run a post-audit at no cost just to help companies see where things stand, the assumption is often that it won’t uncover much. But it does. Almost every time. The reason is simple: invoicing processes are messy, and the systems involved don’t talk to each other. Carriers push rate updates frequently. Contracts have rolling amendments. And invoices aren’t always mapped back cleanly to actual shipments. The ambition here is to improve archaic processes and systems. It’s about having the infrastructure to verify what's correct before the money leaves your account. • Shared knowledge is more powerful than isolated intelligence 💡 This is where most AI deployments in supply chain will fail: not because the models are wrong, but because they aren’t connected. The danger isn’t bad agents. It’s disconnected ones. As well as reducing duplication, Unity enables compounding. Because when each part of your supply chain knows what the others have learned, the whole system gets smarter. You start to see emergent intelligence instead of isolated automation. And maybe most importantly, you avoid wasting time and money. Amir Taichman Kevin Cordeiro Barak Cohen Stephanie Nevin Tal Brown Kennedy Matthews

In today’s volatile trade environment, businesses are being pushed to move faster, stay leaner, and be smarter in every operational decision 🚢 AI is quickly becoming the tool of choice for forecasting demand and optimizing routes but one of the most impactful and overlooked opportunities for transformation is right under the CFO’s nose: the freight audit 🧾🔎 At UnitySCM, we see freight audit not as a cost center, but as a gateway to AI-powered supply chain operations. That’s why we have built #UnityAudit, an AI-native freight audit agent that redefines what’s possible - delivering speed, accuracy, and continuous learning that traditional systems simply can’t match. Let’s walk through how AI dramatically outperforms traditional approaches across the audit lifecycle 👇 1️⃣ Always-On, Real-Time Auditing 2️⃣ Flexible, Instant Scalability 3️⃣ Self-Learning, Continuously Up-to-Date — and Format-Agnostic 4️⃣ Deep Context, Not Just Isolated Checks 5️⃣ Expanding Coverage, Including Edge Cases 6️⃣ Faster, Frictionless Dispute Resolution 7️⃣ Transparent, Trusted Decisions 8️⃣ Fast Start, No Heavy Lifting The Impact: Immediate ROI, Long-Term Transformation 🤩 We've seen that freight payers can lose 8% of their freight spend to invoice errors, equating to over $800,000 annually for companies with $10 million in freight spend. Traditional audits recover only a portion of that, slowly. #UnityAudit delivers: 💸 Immediate ROI: You pay only when we recover value 🏎️ Fast onboarding: No complex setup, no drawn-out deployments 🌍 Scalability: Handle surging invoice volumes without adding headcount 🤝 Compliance: Full audit trails for SOX, tax, and internal reviews 📏 Benchmarking: Measure performance across carriers and lanes Start with Audit. Scale Toward Autonomy 🔜 Most digital supply chain initiatives promise transformation but require months of change and disruption. #UnityAudit flips that script You start small, with audit, and unlock massive downstream value: clean, verified freight data; smarter contracts; real-time cost insights; and eventually, predictive and autonomous execution. It’s not just about catching errors. It’s about reshaping how logistics decisions get made. That’s why an AI agent isn’t just better than a traditional freight audit but is an entirely different class of solution. Built for real-world complexity. Designed to evolve. And ready to deliver value on day one ☝️ Start with audit. See what AI can unlock. Amir Taichman Kevin Cordeiro Stephanie Nevin Tal Brown Kennedy Matthews Royi Kenan Barak Cohen Ron Kotler

  • What Makes a Task Right for AI? 🤔 We’ve been thinking about this a lot. Not every role or workflow is ready for AI. But some stand out and they tend to share three characteristics: 1️⃣ High Volume - AI improves with repetition. Tasks that occur 10,000 times a week like freight quotes, inventory checks, and PO reconciliations offer far more potential than something that happens once a quarter. 2️⃣ Structured Data - The supply chain may not always be clean, but data is organized and plentiful. Timestamps, weights, SKUs, carrier codes — this kind of data is ideal for AI to parse and learn from. 3️⃣ Outcome-Oriented - Did the shipment arrive on time? Did we overpay? Should we have taken a different route? These are not open-ended questions. There’s a clear answer and that clarity makes it easier to train models toward measurable results. When a task is frequent, structured, and tied to a tangible outcome, it becomes a prime candidate for AI support.
