The threat of electromagnetic warfare is real and the U.S. Space Force (USSF) is fighting back with fielding approval for the Counter Communications System (CCS) Meadowlands, a tactical electronic warfare system designed to detect, identify, and disrupt adversary communications systems. This enhanced capability strengthens National defense by protecting friendly communications and denying adversaries the ability to exploit the space domain. Featuring open architecture to enable rapid software updates, ensuring the #USSF can keep pace with evolving threats and continue American space superiority while reinforcing our commitment to protect American interests in space and maintain a technological advantage in the contested space environment.🛰️ Get the details: https://lnkd.in/gMv5bYvx

We work, fight, and win together!💪 That was the message at this month’s 9th Allied SATCOM Future Architecture Working Group. More than 60 representatives from 11 nations came together to present updates on their national SATCOM program, resulting in greater collective understanding and cooperation opportunities. The forum also focused on how to collectively leverage international partner diversity, policy, and expertise. Representatives from the #USSF Field Commands and the Pentagon offered international partners greater clarity on U.S. commercial space policy. “International collaboration on SATCOM offers significant benefits to the warfighter, including capability, resilience, and redundancy through system interoperability - not to mention cost-avoidance and the maximization of combined national resources, which are wins for all,” said event Co-Chair Richard Saxon, director of SSC International Affairs. https://lnkd.in/dDdgXuFX #SpaceStartsHere

Why are contract awards essential to the front lines of lethality? Tune in to find out in the 1st episode of our Acquiring Minds video series!📽️ On land, sea, in air, and on orbit, space acquisition is where the #SpaceForce mission begins. In this first episode featuring contracting, we’re diving into the sole-source contract for the continuation of our Advanced Tracking and Launch Analysis System program, better known as ATLAS. We break down why it’s significant but before that, we share some of the many things that must happen before a contract is awarded, and how it's up to us to make them happen. There are many different types of acquisition contracts, but they all have the same goal — to deliver capabilities that effectively and efficiently deliver lethality to our warfighters.
