We are in Vicenza celebrating the ribbon cutting for the Mario di Valmarana Center for Studies in Venice and Vicenza, a milestone for the University of Virginia’s global presence. And in perfect timing, we ran into a group of current A-School students currently enrolled in the Venice program at the Palladio Museum. Alumni and students connecting, sketchbooks in hand, in the very heart of Palladio’s city — a wonderful reminder of why the Valmarana Center matters. Moments like this bring the UVA community full circle: from Jefferson’s admiration of Palladio to today’s global learning experiences.

With a ceremonial groundbreaking on Friday, UVA alumni officials took the next step in erecting a new home for the UVA Alumni Association. The facility, to be called “Aggarwal Hall,” is named after Reggie Aggarwal, a 1991 graduate of the UVA McIntire School of Commerce and the largest individual donor in the history of the Alumni Association. https://lnkd.in/eiqS_8H8
