From Colorado to the World Stage—Our VEX Robotics Teams Delivered Our exceptional Robotics leaders, Alexandra Downing and Jacob Roberts , recently shared this year's VEX WORLDS results. Students across St. Vrain Valley Schools showed the global robotics community what happens when talent, teamwork, and opportunity come together. St. Vrain Valley Schools had high school, middle school, and elementary teams compete, and every level brought home something to be proud of. High School Highlights: Longmont High - Echo → Ranked 4th in their division (83 teams) → 14th overall in Skills (405 teams) → Reached the semifinals → Won the Design Award Silver Creek - Collision → Ranked 3rd in their division → Made it to the Round of 16 Erie High - Intellectual Idiots → Ranked 54th in their division → Gained incredible experience at the world level Middle School Momentum: 11 teams represented 4 schools: Trail Ridge, Erie Middle, Soaring Heights PK8, and Altona Middle. 4 teams advanced to the Round of 16 2 teams reached the Quarterfinals Team 79298V (Altona) earned the Build Award for their division VEX IQ—Elementary & Middle School Brilliance: 6 elementary teams and 1 middle school team attended The Gadget Girls from Mead Elementary won the Judges Award What’s especially powerful? We had 1 team at each level bring home a judged award, based on interviews and how they communicated their robotics journey. That’s not just skill—it’s storytelling, leadership, and reflection in action. A huge congratulations to every student, coach, mentor, and parent involved. This is what it looks like when we invest in future-ready learners and give them real opportunities to grow. It would not be possible without the executive support of Don Haddad, Ed.D., Jackie Kapushion, Ed.D., Axel Reitzig, and the WONDERFUL, SMART, KIND, CARING Coaches on every team and their parents. Let’s keep building. 👍 VEX Robotics #STEM #Robotics Innovation Center StVrain
