    Today marks a major milestone as we announce that Southwest Airlines, the world’s fifth largest airline by passengers flown, has successfully deployed Volantio’s industry-leading Post-Booking Optimization platform. This deployment enhances flexibility and choice for travelers in the post-booking window, while optimizing demand allocation, revenue, and operational flexibility for Southwest. A heartfelt thanks to the entire Southwest team who made this possible: Andrew Watterson, matt louis, France Grenot, Ryan Quinn, Whitney Flores, Matthew Carbone, Kayley K., Nicole Stanford, Jan Nordstrom, Samantha Cable, and every single person on the Southwest side who dedicated their time and effort to get this across the line.     A huge thanks to Henry Harteveldt for moderating a fun panel with Seth Cassel, Iñaki Uriz Millan, and myself about what it's taken the three of us to build our companies over the last decade+. Themes touched upon included the most challenging moments (COVID was a big one!), facing the decision to pivot, approaches to competition, and taking on strategic capital. Thanks to Martyn McMurray and the World Aviation Festival who entertained my crazy idea for this session, and hopefully we can do another version 1 year from now - assuming that Inaki, Seth and I have not each bought our own private islands by then 🤣 #entrepreneurship

    We had a TOTALLY FULL house today at World Aviation Festival for our joint session with Air Canada. Our CEO & co-founder, Azim Barodawala, was joined onstage by Kevin Strohmaier, Managing Director of Revenue Management, North America and Ancillary Revenues, for a conversation on how airlines can redefine customer experience and unlock new revenue opportunities in the post-booking window. Kevin shared powerful early results from our partnership, which has initially focused on operational and overbooking use cases: ✅ 24K calls avoided ✅ 2.5K automated moves ✅ 4K flights not requiring manual gate agent intervention ✅ 8K negative passenger experiences avoided These outcomes show what’s possible when airlines use post-booking flexibility to drive efficiency and deliver a better experience for travelers.
