BCR is proud to support Youngstown State University with critical repairs to a campus pedestrian bridge—an essential connection between the Wick Avenue Parking Deck and the main campus. This fast-track summer project addressed major structural challenges under an extremely aggressive schedule and within a highly constrained site. Scope of work included: Complete structural repair and stabilization across all three spans Full shoring of the bridge to enable structural repairs Full-depth flange replacement on large areas of the double tee beams Recasting of damaged flanges Repairs and reinforcement of existing bridge piers and pier caps Installation of new railings and traffic coatings Working alongside our project partners—Walker Consultants, American Scaffolding Inc., and Youngstown State University—BCR is proud to have successfully completed this important project, ensuring this vital campus link remains safer, stronger, and ready to serve for years to come. Walker Consultants provided structural and functional design for Northwestern University’s Segal Visitor Center and post-tensioned parking structure in Evanston, IL. The facility combines a 435-stall garage with a welcoming entry point to campus—framed by limestone, fritted glass, and lakeside-inspired fins that harmonize with the site and setting.
