Many DeepTech industries are still dominated by male leadership. WOW!! What an exhilarating end to 6 exhilarating months of building a powerful, caring and confident community of women leaders! 🎊😍🍾 Tuesday’s graduation of the 1st cohort of the WOMEM CEO Academy for women in deeptech was an evening full of love, laughter and pride – and a celebration of the readiness of 20 immensely accomplished women to go forth and make a huge impact at the helm of companies in the mobility, engineering, manufacturing and deeptech space. At the same time, their very presence as CEOs will be making an impact by raising the shockingly low numbers of women at the top and serving as a model for other women in tech. Hanan Brand, VP & Head of Startup Division at the Israel Innovation Authority רשות החדשנות, told us that just 0.7% of CEOs in the energy sector and 0.3% of CEOs in the semiconductor sector are women. It’s our mission to bump those numbers way up!
