We’re proud to announce the first partner of the 2nd cohort of the WOMEM CEO Academy: Konnect - Volkswagen Group Innovation Hub TLV! 🎉 Konnect was the first to commit to supporting our inaugural cohort – and the first to commit to supporting our 2nd cohort, which starts in January! Konnect’s unwavering support for women leadership is something we should all aspire to! 👏👏👏 “The WOMEM CEO Academy doesn’t just create space – it builds a launchpad,” Hemdat Sagi, Managing Director of Konnect, told us when we asked why Volkswagen Innovation chose to partner with the CEO Academy to help women leaders lead startups in mobility, energy, manufacturing and DeepTech. “It equips women with the strategic, operational, and leadership tools to rise to the top – and more importantly, to redefine what leadership looks like in these traditionally male-dominated sectors,” Hemdat said. So excited to continue working together to launch women into the top executive role at existing startups they lead and new startups they launch! 👉 Are you at a company looking to partner with an initiative that’s making a real difference for good? You’ve probably heard that #DeepTech is on the rise. A recent Israel Innovation Authority report defines DeepTech as technology that’s: ⭐ Based on tangible engineering innovation or scientific advances and discoveries applied for the first time as a product ⭐ Often aiming to solve societyʼs biggest issues Elements of the mobility/transportation, energy, manufacturing and AI industries are all part of DeepTech, along with semiconductors, quantum, space, robotics and data centers. Many DeepTech industries are still dominated by male leadership. Want to change that? 👉 If you’re a woman leader in DeepTech, apply to join the second cohort of the WOMEM CEO Academy and step up to lead the future. (Registration form in the comments.)

“Even though women constitute about one-third of the high tech workforce, just 10% of CEOs are women, and just 17% are in senior management. That’s the backdrop that gave rise to the WOMEM CEO Academy.” —Globes financial newspaper Thank you to Globes for spreading the word about the WOMEM CEO Academy and its first graduating class of 20 women leaders in deep tech, including mobility, energy and manufacturing! WOW!! What an exhilarating end to 6 exhilarating months of building a powerful, caring and confident community of women leaders! 🎊😍🍾 Tuesday’s graduation of the 1st cohort of the WOMEM CEO Academy for women in deeptech was an evening full of love, laughter and pride – and a celebration of the readiness of 20 immensely accomplished women to go forth and make a huge impact at the helm of companies in the mobility, engineering, manufacturing and deeptech space. At the same time, their very presence as CEOs will be making an impact by raising the shockingly low numbers of women at the top and serving as a model for other women in tech. Hanan Brand, VP & Head of Startup Division at the Israel Innovation Authority רשות החדשנות, told us that just 0.7% of CEOs in the energy sector and 0.3% of CEOs in the semiconductor sector are women. It’s our mission to bump those numbers way up! We’re incredibly proud to share that some of the Academy graduates have already begun taking on CEO roles! 👏👏👏 🌟3 Academy graduates are launching new startups as CEOs 🌟2 have secured CEO roles at existing companies 🌟1 acting CEO has raised $1 million This has been an amazing journey, and we cannot wait to see what’s next for these inspiring women!! 🥂 The WOMEM CEO Academy could not have been launched without the inimitable Orlie Sol (Dahan) Gruper and Women in Mobility - WIM team Hadar Weinberger, Ela Zomer & Tal Geffen! 🙏 🍾 A HUGE congratulations goes to the first-ever graduating class of the WOMEM CEO Academy! Alex Kaganov Talmor, Ayellet Zinger, Daniella Beller - Hajdu, Elinor Josef, Eti Shtaingart, Irit Sterdiner, Liron Levi-Gabay 🇮🇱, Nurit Raccah, Olga Sigal, Oranit Haim-Seyger, Orly Sorokin, Ravit Kredi, Shani Yossefon, Sharon Rashty, Shiri Dror Kihan, Sivan Bichler, Sophie Tuviahu, Tali Miller, Tovi Yadin & Yana Voldman 👏👏👏 And thank you to our graduation party hosts Google for Startups Israel for the amazing location!! 🙏
