Campaigning in 2025 isn’t just about fundraising and outreach — it’s also about digital risk management. In our latest episode of the #TipsFromTheTrail podcast, WPLN President Larissa Martinez chats with Defending Digital Campaigns President Michael Kaiser, who outlines how even first‑time candidates can use budget‑friendly tools to protect volunteer data, donor lists, and vital communications. 🔐 If you’re part of a campaign team, or advising one, this one’s essential! 🎧 https://hubs.la/Q03PL8TG0 #CampaignSecurity #DigitalSafety #Cybersecurity

"When women take breaks from the workforce, not only are their lifetime earnings disrupted, but the negative financial impacts can be generational." 🔗: https://hubs.la/Q03PJ5TL0

"Electing more women to local office doesn’t just improve local governance. It strengthens democracy. Local seats are often a first step toward higher office. Winning local elections forms a pipeline of women leaders who gain experience they can leverage to run for higher offices, where the disproportion remains and is, in many cases, worse." 🔗: https://hubs.la/Q03Pfjxb0

✨As we close out Hispanic Heritage Month, I’m honored to be featured in “Champion Women: From Communism to the Land of the Free — Celebrating the Grit of Inspiring Women,” a series recognizing the strength and stories of Hispanic women who are shaping our communities. It’s deeply meaningful to share space with women I admire—especially my former boss, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, whose leadership and example continue to inspire me. Working for her (and other Members of Congress) early in my career taught me the power of service, and using your voice to open doors for others. 💫 As the daughter & granddaughter of Cuban exiles, I grew up hearing stories of sacrifice and perseverance — stories that shaped my understanding of freedom and the responsibility that comes with it. Those lessons have guided me throughout my career in public service, communications, advocacy, and now as an entrepreneur over the past three years. My collective experiences have fueled the social impact work I focus on today through Neviz Strategies: ✅ As a fractional COO, I advise organizations on finance, operations, and performance metrics to strengthen their capacity and efficiency. ✅ Through multicultural communications and marketing consulting, I help clients authentically engage diverse communities and tell their stories with purpose and impact, particularly in education advocacy. Every chapter — from serving in the halls of Congress, to leading national nonprofits, advising at the White House, and serving on the board of an international bank, to ultimately launching my own business — has reinforced one truth: our heritage and lived experiences are the foundation for how we lead, serve, and create lasting change. If your organization or business is exploring ways to strengthen operations, measure impact, or engage authentically with diverse communities, I’d love to connect and explore how we can work together. 📖 Read the full feature here: https://lnkd.in/gA5DPaqa #HispanicHeritageMonth #LatinaLeaders #WomenInLeadership #Entrepreneurship #PublicService

"In executive leadership, we often look to these leaders and want to see that they’re kind of a solo leader, they can act on their own, they’re tough and decisive and aggressive, stereotypical traits that are most often associated with men and masculinity. So for a long time in our history, there have been really doubts about 'Could a woman do this job?' " https://hubs.la/Q03NRHvJ0
