The founder of Tate's Bake Shop lost her first business venture when the company dissolved from a failed partnership. Her response? "I couldn't go get a job anywhere else because I didn't know how to do anything else. I didn't have a choice but to start again." Kathleen King rebuilt from scratch and eventually sold 80% of her second cookie company for $100 million. 🍪 Starting over isn't failing—it's having the courage to try again, smarter. 💼 Fractional work isn’t just a trend — it’s a career revolution. More women are stepping away from traditional 9-to-5 roles to embrace fractional careers that offer freedom, variety, and control. From fractional CMOs to revenue leaders, women are designing their careers on their own terms — choosing projects, setting boundaries, and prioritizing what matters most. Why the shift? ✅ Flexibility and autonomy ✅ Ownership over work and career growth ✅ Opportunity to contribute at a high level across multiple companies It’s not without challenges, but with planning, networking, and clear boundaries, fractional work can be both empowering and sustainable. 💡 Curious about making the leap? Learn how women are creating portfolio careers and why fractional work is the future: https://hubs.li/Q03Lwg2n0 #WomenInRevenue #FractionalWork #CareerDesign #WorkOnYourTerms #Leadership #RevenueLeadership

🌟 Women in Revenue Member of the Month 🌟 Meet Maya Carter, an Operations professional based in New York City! Nearly 9 years ago, she “fell into” Operations while balancing roles as both an Executive Assistant and Operations Assistant. Maya immediately discovered a love for helping people and maintaining systems. In the past year, she’s leaned into opportunities that focus on sustainability, scalability, and adaptability, with a growing passion for contributing to more established enterprises where maintenance and people-first processes take center stage. She joined Women in Revenue to deepen her understanding of what career growth looks like for women in Operations today, and to expand her network to learn from and with others. 👏 We’re thrilled to celebrate her as our September MoM and can’t wait to see what’s ahead on her journey! First of all, a big “heck yeah!” to all of our members who were featured speakers at the Pavilion's Women’s Summit on Monday: Lauren Shleifer Goldstein, Jill Melchionda, Deidre Hudson, Harini Gokul, Anne Pao, Karen Budell, Liza Adams, Kimberly Storin, Casey Erickson, Gianna Scorsone, Kange Kaneene, Leslie Greenwood. Every speaker was insightful and inspiring. And a THANK YOU to Kathleen Booth for inviting us back to partner for a second year in a row! 👏 A few of our favorite takeaways: 1️⃣ Become “best friends” (meaning, communicate, share priorities, and celebrate one another) with your CFO so he or she advocates for you when you are not in the room. 2️⃣ You have an obligation to be on top of current events and have your own perspective relevant to the business. 3️⃣ Annual planning is about preparation, anticipation, and adaptation—not about prediction. 4️⃣ When using AI, don’t just go down the path of “faster”; use AI as a thought partner to pursue “better and different”. 5️⃣ Your executive presence superpower should embrace the strategic, not the tactical. 6️⃣ Yes, compensation is often a difficult topic to discuss, but remember that “money is an exchange of energy” to help you understand your worth. 7️⃣ As women, our success comes with a responsibility to help other women develop in their careers. We love learning from and alongside our members. Our time in DC at the Pavilion Women’s Summit, including our amazing happy hour the evening before, was an incredible opportunity to connect, support, and celebrate one another. It’s the core of what we do. If you are not a member, join today—let’s continue to thrive together! Join now 👉 https://lnkd.in/g2JKQabA

WOW. Our DC Happy Hour was an absolute blast! The venue = 🔥, the vibe = 🤌, and the connections? Non-stop all night. We packed the mezzanine at La Grand Boucherie—a space with serious history. Built in 1925 as a bank (vault included!), it was the perfect backdrop for our Get Your Riches Glow-Up Happy Hour. ✨ Plus… we debuted our very first Women in Revenue t-shirts! They were a total hit, and we’re working on making these “Get Your Riches” shirts more widely available. Cute and impactful. 💪 What a way to kick off the week! For those heading into Pavilion's Women’s Summit, the energy continues—we’ll be here all day. Tagging just a few of the incredible women pictured (so many are missing!). Please tag others in the comments! Beth McCullough, Deidre Hudson, Elissa Carroll, Christen George-McFerrin, Gina P., Lauren Shleifer Goldstein, Ruthy Goldman, Michelle Ji-Yeun Kim, Kristi Gaudioso, Tamar Gill, Nino Cornish, PHR, Denise Hayman, Melanie Russo, Kimberly Storin, Virginia (Ginna) Santy, Sarah Squires, Daryl Weldon, CRCR, Delphia McCarty
