We provide employer solutions to businesses in Jefferson, Hardin and Orange counties and our Employer Solutions Representatives are ready to assist you as much, as or little, as you need. On Thursday, October 9, Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas visited Leigh Martin’s 7th and 8th grade STEM class at Little Cypress Junior High (Little Cypress Mauriceville CISD) to observe the innovative lesson plan she developed during our Teacher Externship Program. Ms. Martin completed the externship in June, where she spent time at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company learning about real-world applications in the petrochemical industry. She brought that experience back to her classroom by engaging students in hands-on activities with LittleBits kits to explore Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) — a key technology used in manufacturing and industrial settings.
