Last night, the White House issued an Executive Order to effectively eliminate CPB funding. This threatens the ability of PBS and member stations like WTTW to operate autonomously and to serve the American public with non-commercial educational programming that prepares all kids for school and life; history programming that tells the stories of our city and country; science and nature programming that brings us closer to the wonders of our world; immersive dramas and mysteries; fair, accurate, unbiased, and nonpartisan news coverage; and free and open access to the arts for everyone.
