One year ago today, X-energy and Amazon announced a commitment to deploy more than 5 GW of new nuclear by 2039, and partnered with Energy Northwest to deploy up to 12 Xe-100 units in Washington State. It was, and remains, a bold vision for America's energy future, one that we are proud to be a part of. And today, on the anniversary of our partnership, Energy Northwest has given us a first glimpse at what this future could look like. This facility marks the beginning of a new era for nuclear energy, the first of many facilities powered by reliable, safe, carbon-free nuclear energy. Energy Northwest chose a name that reflects their bold leadership in driving this future forward, and speaks to the one of the most iconic vistas of the Pacific Northwest. Advancing next-generation nuclear technologies means fundamentally rethinking every aspect of how we produce nuclear energy today. And for X-energy, it starts with the fuel. Our innovative fuel technology replaces traditional fuel rods and uranium pellets with TRISO fuel, graphite pebbles containing thousands of uranium kernels each smaller than a poppy seed. These kernels are coated in microscopic particle layers, each engineered to maximize safety, enabling a simpler design, greater flexibility in siting, and a wide range of applications for both electric and industrial customers. The Department of Energy has selected X-energy subsidiary TRISO-X for its Fuel Pilot Program, an initiative established by the Trump Administration to ensure a robust supply of available fuel for next-generation nuclear technologies. This a mission-critical objective, one that we're already tackling head-on with the construction of our first-in-the-nation fuel fabrication facility, TX-1.   We're excited by the opportunity to continue partnering with the Trump Administration and DOE in this effort, and build on our success both under the Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program, and our TRISO production at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, dating back to 2016.

Speaking at Axios House in New York last week, our CEO J. Clay Sell highlighted the transformative impact of President Trump's Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program and how it's helped to propel X-energy forward. Through smart, supportive policies like ARDP, X-energy has been able to move the Xe-100 from concept to commercial-scale, building partnerships with major companies like Dow, Amazon, and Centrica, and kickstarting a global supply chain to support both our fleet, and new nuclear technologies around the world.
