We are thrilled to share that XCHARGE North America has launched Oregon’s first solar-plus-storage DC fast-charging station, in partnership with Wildhorse Resort & Casino / Arrowhead Travel Plaza. This isn’t just another EV charger — it’s a transformational infrastructure deployment that utilizes GridLink combining high-power charging and energy storage and direct integration with solar power generated on site. Why this matters: This installation is strategically located along Interstate 84 / Cabbage Hill, a critical route for EV drivers in eastern Oregon, helping ensure safe and reliable charging even under demanding conditions. The system includes four dual-dispenser GridLink chargers paired with 40 kW of solar generation and 215 kWh of storage capacity (expandable), enabling efficient grid integration and resilience. The integrated bidirectional capabilities allow for flexible energy flows — supporting the grid, enabling backup power during outages, and maximizing renewable utilization. 🚖🇩🇪 Hamburg’s first fast-charging site just for e-taxis ⚡ A new chapter for Hamburg’s taxi fleet: Vattenfall has launched a dedicated charging hub for e-taxis at a Lidl store — a big leap toward cleaner city transport! We’re proud that our #C6EU Smart DC charger (dual CCS, up to 150 kW per connector) is powering this site, helping taxi drivers charge up fast and get back on the road even quicker. 💛 And it feels extra special to see this milestone happening right here in Hamburg, the home of our European offices. 🤝  This project shows what’s possible when government, energy providers, taxi operators, and infrastructure partners come together to move sustainable mobility forward. Thank you to The Cool Down for highlighting the work we’re doing to expand EV charging infrastructure across the US. XCharge North America’s fast charger in Middleburg, VA is a powerful example of why we offer a range of solutions tailored to our customers and communities’ needs.
