AI doesn’t need to be perfect to make clinical research stronger. It needs to be 𝑟𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒, 𝑠𝑢𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑐𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒𝑑 within the right framework. A new study from Novartis shows that even when AI models are stressed with random or naïve predictions, pairing AI with human oversight can still preserve trial accuracy, reduce cost, and maintain consistent results. Researchers tested three models of image-based disease evaluation. The “AI as Supporting Reader” approach—where AI assists, but humans lead—proved most efficient and dependable. This framework achieved three critical outcomes: • 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲: Clinical conclusions matched those of fully human assessments. • 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲: Reader workloads and arbitration needs dropped by up to 60%. • 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬: Even weak models maintained valid treatment effect estimates. The findings confirm that AI can safely accelerate clinical research when paired with structured human review: an insight that directly supports how xCures designs systems for data extraction, validation, and clarity. AI doesn’t replace the clinician or researcher. It strengthens their confidence in every data-driven conclusion. AI-assisted clinical information extraction and medical record aggregation
About us
xCures operates an AI-assisted healthcare data platform that extracts and structures clinical information from medical records gathered across multiple sources (QHIN, BYOD, TEFCA’s IAS, and legacy systems). The Platform applies validated methods to surface the insights that matter, and delivers them seamlessly to internal tools and workflows. Think of the platform as semantic middleware for healthcare: built for interoperability, grounded in verifiable sources, and designed to present the right information to the right person at exactly the right time. The xCures platform accepts structured and unstructured medical records through multiple channels, preparing them for further interrogation and interaction by cleaning, de-duplicating, classifying, and enriching them with metadata. Our verified data extraction processes produce a standardized, structured, and comprehensive clinical representation of each patient, with every clinical data element traceable to the source document. The AI-ready output is available through the xCures Platform UI, standard REST API integrations, and via flexible export and sync options. Our platform is designed for speed and flexibility. The document sets and structured data generated can be demonstrated almost immediately within the xCures Platform’s interface, where users can access configurable patient checklists, find records or documents of interest, review patient medical histories, as well as cohort and summary data. The xCures platform doesn’t just deliver structured data. It delivers decision-ready intelligence that accelerates clinical insights and reduces the operational burden of working with complex medical records. Wake up to Clinical Clarity www.xcures.com

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐬. In 2023, the U.S. spent $4.9 trillion, or 17.6% of GDP, on healthcare. Yet outcomes continue to fall behind peer nations, and life expectancy has barely improved in two decades. Employers fund nearly 30% of total health spending but rarely demand measurable value for money. As price transparency grows, inefficiencies once hidden are now impossible to ignore. Some hospital procedures vary in cost by a factor of eight within the same payer network. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚. Healthcare leaders in telehealth, diagnostics, and provider networks need tools that surface meaning from complexity. Platforms like xCures Inc. are transforming scattered medical records into structured, searchable insights that empower better decisions at every point of care. When stakeholders can see, understand, and trust the data, true value-based care becomes possible. The path forward lies in clarity, accountability, and a renewed focus on what is essential to health, not bureaucracy. Artificial intelligence in healthcare demands intentional design, scalable processes, and governance! The “𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤: 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞” offers a roadmap to do exactly that. Read the Playbook by Digital Medicine Society (DiMe): https://lnkd.in/emE9Z-KE Most staggering: 𝟕𝟎% 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐈 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥, not because the technology is weak, but because of gaps in people and process. For telehealth, digital health, diagnostics, value-based care companies, and provider organizations, adoption is not the hurdle. Execution is. The Playbook centers on three pillars: ● 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (do not force AI where it does not belong) ● 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (accountability, equity, and trust) ● 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (monitor, iterate, and embed in workflows) If your organization is considering an AI pilot, pause and use this Playbook as a grounding reference. Let’s build AI that persists, not one that only dazzles. 👉 Follow xCures Inc. Most digital systems still react; they don’t anticipate. But 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐈 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 by sensing, predicting, and acting alongside patients and providers. A patient’s wearable may detect fatigue, cross-check lab data, and prompt the care team before a crisis. A provider’s system might recognize when a complex oncology visit needs more time. These are not automations; 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞.𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧-𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Empathy before efficiency. Accessibility as the rule. Context as the constant. When empathy shapes the architecture, technology becomes an amplifier of care, not a replacement for it. Agentic systems bring together “𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬” 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐈 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 that collaborate in real time: care coaches, navigators, and concierges. They adapt tone, timing, and channel to each person’s preferences, transforming static workflows into adaptive experiences. This thoughtful perspective comes from Emily Lewis, who explores how agentic, human-centered design can reshape the future of healthcare experiences. 👉 Read the original document "Building Agentic Experiences Playbook by Emily Lewis, MS, CPDHTS, CCRP: https://lnkd.in/dQeEWicU 👉 Follow xCures Inc. A new paper from Google Research introduces the concept of a Personal Health Agent, an intelligent, multi-agent system that analyzes wearable, wellness, and medical record data to deliver dynamic, individualized health insights. Unlike a single-purpose chatbot, the Personal Health Agent operates through three specialized agents: one that interprets personal data, another that applies medical domain expertise, and a third that coaches users through behavior change. Together, they create a holistic support system that mirrors the collaboration of a care team. In evaluations spanning 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟕,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏,𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰, this agentic framework demonstrated measurable gains in analytical accuracy, contextual reasoning, and user trust. It is one of the most rigorous assessments yet of a digital health agent’s ability to reason across multimodal data. For Telehealth, Diagnostics, and Provider systems, this signals a shift. The same architecture that enables these agents to interpret wearable and record data could soon help clinicians surface relevant history, highlight trends, and guide proactive care without sifting through hundreds of documents. The question is no longer whether AI can assist in healthcare. It is how systems like Personal Health Agents can integrate into everyday workflows, amplifying human judgment rather than replacing it. TEFCA is alive and well and proving that true data sharing in healthcare is possible. For years, interoperability felt like a promise just out of reach. Today, TEFCA is showing what happens when vision meets infrastructure. Health Information Networks are finally connecting the systems that care teams rely on every day. Clinicians can access records securely, across settings, and across the country — a change that’s reshaping care delivery. That progress means fewer blind spots, more informed decisions, and less burden on the people driving patient care. It’s a glimpse of what connected healthcare can look like when collaboration is built into the system itself. xCures is proud to be TEFCA-ready, operating a fully functional Individual Access Services (IAS) solution that brings patients and providers seamless, secure access to medical records nationwide. By partnering with Kno2 as a QHIN and CLEAR for IAL2-compliant identity verification, xCures delivers a trusted, AI-powered bridge to the nation’s health information backbone. Through this framework, xCures turns complex data into clinical clarity — empowering healthcare teams to make faster, more confident decisions at every encounter.
