About us
Founded in 1968, Youth Enrichment Services (YES) is a thriving non-profit organization providing Boston youth with year-round outdoor programs and leadership development opportunities. Our mission is to inspire Boston youth through outdoor experiences that build confidence and prepare them to summit life's challenges. YES prioritizes serving low-and-moderate income youth with a focus on young people living in the Boston neighborhoods of Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, and Jamaica Plain. All youth at YES are Boston residents and we welcome all young people regardless of race, ethnicity, or economic status. YES currently serves more than 1,200 children and teens annually.

Are you passionate about running and track & field? YES is seeking a part-time Activity Coordinator for Summer 2025 in our Track & Field Program. This is a position for a highly enthusiastic, energized, safety-conscious adult who is well organized, understands sports-based youth development, and has strong interpersonal skills. Approximately 10-15 hours per week Monday through Thursday evenings throughout the summer. Big thanks to the teams at Flagship Pioneering and Life Science Cares Boston for generously donating and coordinating nearly 100 Summer Backpacks for YES youth. The bags will be distributed on the first day of Outdoor Adventure Summer Camp in a few weeks. The backpacks are brimming with necessities and fun goodies, including sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses, towels, wet bags for bathing suits, water bottles, journals, Crayola markers, and - yes - rain ponchos. (At YES, we have a “rain or shine, it will still be fun” attitude!) What an amazing gift to each child in YES’s summer camp program. Thank you Flagship Pioneering for giving back so generously and thoughtfully!

Peabody Office has been a committed supporter of YES through donations, event participation, and ongoing community engagement. Our Owner and President, Chris Peabody, attended the groundbreaking ceremony as a dedicated YES board member and long-time advocate for youth enrichment. Since 1968, YES has provided affordable, sports-based development programs to empower Boston’s youth, with a focus on serving children and teens from Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, and Jamaica Plain. Temps are dropping and flakes are flying! That means the adventurous kids who participate in Youth Enrichment Services' weekly ski trips could use some extra layers and ski gear, as well as snacks to keep them fueled. If your company is able to take on either the gear wish list or the snacks wish list (or both!), YES would be most appreciative, and their young participants will be grateful as they build confidence, connect with positive role models, and develop into young leaders while experiencing the outdoors.
