I finally have a chance to reflect on the incredible few days in the Catskills at Zapier Outpost last week, where I had the privilege of connecting with some brilliant RevOps minds. 🍁 The conversations around AI implementation and foundational architecture were exactly what I needed to hear as our RevOps team at WebFX is preparing to take on 2026. My biggest takeaway? The power of balance: centralizing AI and automation scaling within RevOps while decentralizing experimentation across teams. This approach creates both structure and innovation - something I've been passionate about throughout my RevOps journey. What stood out most: ✨ Building systems that evolve with your organization ✨ Creating the right foundation before automating processes ✨ Finding the sweet spot between governance and experimentation ✨ Letting go of perfection to embrace learning through doing The most validating part was hearing other Ops leaders face similar challenges and witnessing how diverse approaches can all lead to success when grounded in solid fundamentals. Immense gratitude to Denise Hibbard for organizing such a thoughtful event, Lindsay Rothlisberger for facilitating meaningful discussions, and everyone in attendance who shared their experiences so openly. And a genuine thank you to Zapier for exemplifying what "customer first" really means - creating spaces for connection that deliver true value. 👏 Looking forward to implementing what I've learned and continuing these conversations. As it turns out, sometimes the best professional development happens in a cabin in the woods with the right people. 🍂🌲
