It's hard to put into words just how amazingly yesterday's annual Day of Service went (but we'll try!). 🧡   The entire force of the Zeal Credit Union team came together at The Guidance Center's Walter White Community Resource Center downriver - spending the day volunteering for an organization whose work benefits thousands of families and children each year. We learned more about their meaningful work, cleaned, organized, decorated, and spent the day getting the center ready for autumn in style.   We laughed, we cried, we bonded, and we showcased our Passion, Empathy, and Character in a way that truly makes a difference in the community. Thank you so much to The Guidance Center for opening your doors to our team - this was a Day of Service event we won't soon forget! ☕ Celebrating International Coffee Day at Zeal! ☕ Last week, we took a moment to espresso our appreciation for our amazing team! In honor of International Coffee Day, our staff enjoyed a well-deserved pick-me-up with Starbucks gift cards and new coffee cups — complete with coffee pun stickers to customize their cups. It was the perfect blend of gratitude, fun, and caffeine to keep our teams energized and connected. This month, Zeal has partnered with The Guidance Center’s “Clothing Closet” to collect new/unused socks for Michiganders in need - and you can help too! Whatever the color, whatever the style, bring your donation to any Zeal branch now through October 31st to participate. Together, we can keep Michiganders warm – one pair of socks at a time.

At the end of August, Zeal Credit Union was fortunate to attend the Patton Recreation Center's Back to School Supply Giveaway event in Southwest Detroit. Dearborn Branch Manager, Khalil, represented the Zeal team and set up a table to provide free backpacks, drawstring bags, and other fun Zeal goodies to participants. Education is a cornerstone for future innovation and we are happy to play a small part in helping local students prepare for the 2025-2026 schoolyear. Thank you to Patton Recreation Center and the Detroit Parks & Recreation Department for hosting this event!

Each year, Wayne-Westland Community Schools takes time to honor the dedication, innovation, and hard work of their team members who consistently go above-and-beyond in service to their mission. We fired up the grill this week for our 4th Annual Grillin’ & Chillin’ at Zeal Credit Union, and it was a sizzling success! 🍔 🔥 🌭 🍦 From juicy burgers, local restaurants, hot dogs, chips, sodas, and ice cream bars, our teams got to enjoy a delicious lunch and some well-deserved fun together. At headquarters, staff gathered for a delicious cookout, while our amazing branch leaders grilled and served lunch to their teams. It was the perfect recipe for connection, appreciation, and a whole lot of smiles; because nothing says “thank you” like good food shared with great people. 🧡
