It has been a long time baking, and we are super excited to open up early access to Zephr.xyz's virtualized positioning engine. This is our single receiver model with a host of cool innovations (at least we think so): - 10 hz default positioning using sensor fusion for smooth positioning - 6DOF localization using just sensors (GNSS+IMU) - An open source app showing off both; along with a hosted Overture Maps Foundation Places API to show off localization - Significant improvements in positioning accuracy (with receipts) - A privacy preserving architecture The big picture enabler of all this is moving the GNSS solver off the chip and into software. This allows us to break the dependency on limited "broadcast corrections" and integrate cutting edge models while still running over 5G 3GPP. If you are building location based Android apps and looking for more accurate and resilient positioning we'd love to get your feedback on the team's work. Just hit up the "waitlist" at https://zephr.xyz/ and we'll get you setup with access.
