Veterinary professionals are deeply committed to animal health, yet the demands of the job can bring distinct challenges as they navigate high-pressure environments and emotional strain. As we recognize #WorldMentalHealthDay, we’re honored to spotlight two Zoetis Foundation grantees that are pioneering innovative workplace practices to support veterinarian mental health. By fostering work environments that promote well-being, we can help advance a stronger future for the profession and the animals they serve. We’re excited to announce that Vetscan OptiCell™, Zoetis’ first AI-powered hematology analyzer, is now available in select European markets. Already accessible in the U.S., UK, and Australia, this expansion brings advanced diagnostic capabilities to more veterinarians across Europe. Leveraging an advanced cartridge-based design and AI, this diagnostic tool aims to streamline the way veterinary teams characterize blood cells by moving beyond traditional size-based analysis. We’re enabling expert-level accuracy at the point of care, so veterinary teams can quickly obtain precise, actionable insights that may improve patient outcomes. #AnimalHealth #Diagnostics #VeterinaryMedicine

Last night, I had the incredible opportunity to attend Pet Night on the Hill, where leaders from across the pet care and animal health community came together with policymakers in Washington D.C. to highlight the powerful connection between pets and people. It’s not every day you get to see science, policy and passion come together in one room, all in support of something we know in our hearts to be true: pets make our lives better. Thanks to the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI), we now have compelling evidence that pets contribute to better physical, mental and emotional health. In fact, research from HABRI shows that pet ownership saves the U.S. healthcare system $22.7 billion annually. From reducing PTSD symptoms in veterans to improving social-emotional development in children and alleviating loneliness and depression in older adults, the data is undeniable. At Zoetis, we’re proud to support the PAW Act, a bipartisan bill that could make a real difference for millions of Americans. If passed, it would: -Expand access to affordable veterinary care through HSA/FSA eligibility -Help more people enjoy a healthier lifestyle with their pets -Support individuals with disabilities in caring for their service animals -Improve public health by preventing disease through increased veterinary care -Reduce the number of pets surrendered due to financial hardship Pet Night wasn’t just a celebration. It was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we put compassion into policy. I am excited about the work we do at Zoetis to champion initiatives that elevate the role of pets in our lives, helping to shape a future where more people have access to the joy, comfort and healing that a companion animal can bring. #HumanAnimalBond #PetNightOnTheHill #HABRI
