One of the most critical aspects of leadership is the ability to gain your team's commitment vs their compliance to a goal or strategy. In my experience, this is best done through: - Listening to your team and understanding their concerns, while having open dialogue about solutions and approaches that can alleviate those concerns while still achieving the end goal. - Ensure a clear vision and goal are outlined and articulated and that any strategy is flexible enough to course correct if needed along the way. - Ensure each member of the team is engaged with a deliverable, this will help with their commitment to the project, as well as identify to the leader where additional help or coaching is needed.
