    One of the most intractable issues at the intersection of law and healthcare has been the interoperability of patient data contained in medtech silos. For decades it has been projected that as many as 1200 patients die each day in U.S. medical centers due to proprietary technologies unwilling to share patient data with providers. Emerging technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence and cybercurrency provide patient data interoperability potentials which can disrupt the status quo…

For decades it has been projected that as many as 1200 patients die each day in U.S. medical centers due to proprietary technologies unwilling to share patient data with providers. Emerging technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence and cybercurrency provide patient data interoperability potentials which can disrupt the status quo. This session will explore the legal, technological and healthcare elements related to how this watershed patient care opportunity can be maximized.

    I am very interested in natural language processing. I believe that the next decade will see a shift into NLP sure to the wide adaption of social media. Humans tend to communicate verbally, in contrast to the structured portals we have today. My research focus is on the medical domain and how can we use NLP to improve paint outcomes.
