“I want to take a moment to truly give Amanda the recognition she deserves, and to do that, I need to provide some context about my own background and experiences. Having spent a significant amount of time in Employment Law, I've encountered the full spectrum of recruitment experiences—the good, the bad, and, yes, the downright ugly. Communication can sometimes feel like an afterthought to an afterthought, and respect for candidates, especially those not moving forward, is frequently lacking. Enter Amanda. From the very start, Amanda was a breath of fresh air. She was transparent, responsive, and proactive in providing information. She answered questions thoughtfully and wasn’t afraid to admit when she needed to consult with a colleague. Throughout the process, she consistently followed up in a timely manner, offered support for interview preparation, and—here’s the kicker—actually picked up the phone to personally inform me that an internal candidate was selected for the role. No cold, impersonal email followed by radio silence. Just genuine communication and respect. Amanda’s professionalism, integrity, and respect for people truly stood out. Her managerial courage and congenial approach left a lasting impression on me, even though I wasn’t selected for the role. I walked away from the process with a positive view of TJX, confident that I would refer peers and other professionals to consider TJX as an employer of choice. And this is largely because Amanda served as an outstanding steward of the company’s brand throughout our interactions. A huge thank you to the person who hired Amanda and to the hiring manager for leveraging her skills in the HRBP II role. TJX is undoubtedly a better place to work because of her contributions, and I sincerely hope they appreciate the passion she brings to her role.”
